Strange fuzzy almost metallic nose. Clear sparkling reddish brown colour. Some whispy thin tan head. Slightly carbonic start which turns to an acidity. In time mouth feel improves as the taste reveals a smooth soothing buttery maltiness with traces of metal and leather.

(bottle) Clear, dark amber colour with a medium-sized off-white foamy head. Slightly biscuity and delicately nutty malty aroma with hints of caramel, subtle fruity and woody hoppy notes. Moderately sweet and mildly bitter flavour, medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Slightly (wal-)nutty cara-malty taste with a tinge of residual sugar, biscuit flavours and delicately fruity and woody notes; sweet malty and shy bitter hoppy finish. Likeable Strong Ale, just a tad too sweet imo. 29.XII.14

Many thanks to Erzengel for sharing this bottle! Pours a clear, copper color with a very thin, white head. Malty aroma with some spice. Hoppiness in the background. Smooth taste.

Deep amber-brown pour with a thin white head. The nose is full of soft sweet malt and a bit of toffee character with a little bit of sweetness. A touch of fruity yeast character along with some soft earthy hoppiness. Has a little bit of toasty sweetness and a touch of molasses along with a bit of light booziness. Quite a lovely brew.

Dark chestnut-colour, malty smooth and slightly sweetish nose. The beer starts smooth and malty. Fresh, not too sweetish, nice and intense. Dry malt, not much fruitiness, nice Ale-characteristic with a nice bitter aftertaste. The dry malt with hints of nuts remains long on the tongue. Slightly viscous without being sticky or too sweet. Easy to drink with a warming aftertaste from the alcohol, but not sharp or unpleasant. Great!

Medium, dense light-cream head, rather stable for a British ale, over amber-chestnut beer. Sweetish, fruity nose with pear, raspberry, pineapple and caramel. Bit dusty nose too... 1966? Bitter-sweet, as slightly burnt caramel or toffee. Fruity notes less apparent in the mouth, having shifted towards less sweet, if liqueurish fruit, overripe banana. After some time, a flavour reminding me of the bitter wild honey that is considered a delicacy in Italy (used in beer there too). Quite slick, near oily feel. Feels somehow a lot more carbonated than its dead looks suggest. Lame finish. If tastes quite a bit as the label unfortunately might suggest... a celebration ale from the sixties left on a collectorsí shelf...

A little but too aged as this one is just thick and heavy with some raisins, malt and coffee in the back. Drinkability is ok but I wonder how a Fullerīs beer can be a bit skunky towards the finish.

Bottle from Rudat in Dortmund. The beer has got a deep amber-brown colour with an low head and medium to smooth-flat body. Aroma of barley, malt and mild hops. Taste of gentle malt and barley, nuts, bread, biscuits cake and mild hops. Hints of mild fruits and flowers. Smooth finish and highly enjoyable. Good and solid Fullers.

Bottle: Hazy, chestnut-amber coloured, mid-sized off-white foam;solid sweetish caramelly-fruity nose, maybe with a tinge of vanilla and wood; moderate to solid sweet-bitter flavour, pretty full bodied; sweet fruity-caramelly finish with a drier hoppy aftertaste. Strong and goodÖ
