Bottle, 7.3%. Weak fruity aroma. Seemingly clear chestnut colour. Small off-white head. The flavour is sweet and fruity with a slightly spicy finish. The aftertaste is quite bitter and the finish is a little watery for the ABV.

500ml bottle shared with the wife on 30th Aug 2014, drank in The Old Joint Stock, Birmingham. Really enjoyed this semi-sweet malty brew and re-living 1966 again (was too young to drink then though). Lovely colour and texture, deep, dark amber, off-white crown and a smooth feel throughout the drink. Malty molasses vie with a mixed bag of dark fruits in both the nose and taste, the alcohol well hidden within the flavours. A very good beer and one i would gladly have again and again.

Bottle at Oak Barrel, HEL. Dark nut brown color, steady beige head. Nutty aroma has caramel and alcohol. Medium-bodied. Caramelly, some chocolate and nutty maltyness. Light alcoholic kick. Fullers house flavors lurking. Sweetish.
