3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cask at the Cross Keys Ravenscourt Park. Orange with a bubbly white head. Smells of yeast, wet cardboard, a hint of spice. Body is light. Taste is light on flavour - mild malts and a soft bitterness, a touch of watered down fruit. Nice enough but doesnít stand out. A bit watery. 3.2 seems fair because itís drinkable and quite enjoyable.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cask @ The Wharf Winter Cask Ale Festival. Pours a copper color with a small white lace. Aroma is of toasted oats, nuts, fruit esters, toffee and biscuit notes. The flavor follows the nose with fruit esters of forest fruits, toasted oats, nuts, toffee and biscuit notes. The body is on the lighter side of medium with a kind of silky mouth feel. Overall an ok brew, but nothing special.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Cask pour at The Red Lion, Uxbridge. One of the lesser Fullerís beers Iíve had, unfortunately (which may well be because of my general disinterest in this style). Decent reddish-brown pour, though looks a bit on the watery side. Perfunctory biscuit malts and a dash of toffee in the nose. Thin mouthfeel. Flavors are as expected, though just slightly less anonymous than the aroma would suggest. Not getting the McVittieís that others do, unfortunately. Passable but little more.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cask at the Bishop on the Bridge, Winchester. Brilliant copper in colour with a thin translucent head; the taste is gently fruity, with underlying soft caramel; and then some spicy warmth to the biscuity finish. A rather plain and ordinary attempt at an autumn ale.
