Cask; Seasonal - Autumn.
An autumnal favourite, Red Fox is tawny red in colour and bursting with delicious malty flavours. Brewed with toasted oats which lends distinctive biscuit notes and a mellow aftertaste.

(Cask at Oliver Twist, Stockholm, 15 Sep 2010) Reddish amber colour with frothy, beige head. Malty nose with caramel, dark fruit and some dusty hops. Malty, fruity taste with notes of caramel, dark fruit, red berries and slightly floral hops in the finish. Medium body, with some sweetness. A bit dusty, but nice enough.

It’s only been 3 days and I’m already trying to avoid Fuller’s pubs. They’ve got the market cornered at least on the streets I walk down on the traditional old British pub looking places. So I’ve tried the majority already. Anwyays, the Fox itself. It was a little sweet, sort of fruity (pears). There was a musty, earthy quality about it (and in a tasty way). it’s deep and dark ruby red in color.

Hay-like and soily hops in the aroma with solid undertones offudge, nuts, almonds and milky chocolate. Medium-bodied with balanced notes of nuts, milky chocolate, straw, soil, leaves and red berries. Medium-bitter finish of soil, fudge and hay. Tasty and solid quaffer.

Cask at ’Volo Cask Days 2009’. Pours a somewhat clear golden-amber with a lasting creamy off-white head. Mild aroma of grassy hops and caramel malt. Slightly watery flavour of mild grassy hops along with caramel malt and a very light bitter finish. Average bodied. Just OK.
