Cask; Seasonal - Autumn.
An autumnal favourite, Red Fox is tawny red in colour and bursting with delicious malty flavours. Brewed with toasted oats which lends distinctive biscuit notes and a mellow aftertaste.

I have enjoyed a few of these over the course of a couple of evenings. The ever so slightly reddy brown colour does justice to the name of this beer. From cask, it was clear and very slightly sparkling. Aromas are sweet and mellow: I got vanilla, maple and butterscotch and toast. Not that bitter in taste, nor too sweet I felt this was really well balanced and very easy to drink with reasonably modest ABV. Definitely recommended

Cask, The University Arms, Sheffield. Tawny port appearance, faint caramel aroma. Sweet, more caramel and brown sugar. Almost no hops to speak of, a slightly off artificial sweetness on the finish.

Cask at the Salisbury, Green Lanes. Ruby red with a small white head. Aroma gives a bit of cherry and wood. Maybe a bit of strawberry. Taste is quite smooth and a bit sweet. Thin bodied but not upsettingly so. One sip halfway down really tasted like marzipan strangely. I was surprised that I quite liked this.

Amber/orange/brown slightly hazy liquid. Pours a white creamy silky head. Aromas of ground, hops, malt, wood, forrest, wet leaves, easy light aromas. Unfortunately there isnít that much to work on, it is too subtle. Taste too is subtle with very, very light bitterness, nice sour wash, and a syrupy hint of sweetness. The palate is watery but in this case works well with the overall subtleness of the beer. There is not much of any mouthfeel or texture, except for the nice cotton-like feel coat thatís left around the mouth. A very easy beer, not anything special, just there to say "hi, nice to meet you". And it was a pleasant encounter. Iím not entirely sure what Fullerís wants to say with this beer, it doesnít really bring anything new/special to the line, and lacks character to stand on its own.
