Deep tawny hue with a thick creamy off white head. Rich toasted malt nose. This is a well balanced beer that has a fruity biscuity flavour. However it lacks complexity and is a little thin.

Tops! Big malty aroma, clean caramel/toffee. Amber in colour. Nice sweet start with a balanced mid and mild dry finish. Smooth medium mouthfee. Great session beer.

Dark caramel beer with a very hopped, very dry aroma with a touch of caramel. The flavour is like wine with quite a dry and burn’t toffee touch. Overall quite a good premium beer.

[Cask at Cockney Pub, Århus] A deep red beer with a small beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of lingonberries and hops. The flavor is crisp with notes of ligonberries, nuts, and hops with a dry end.

Cask, Cockney Pub. Amber-red-brown. At first fruits (berries) then malty-caramel notes and perhaps the damp earth thing...!?! One of the few beers I’ve had that grew on me throughout the pint...

Cask@The Prince of Wales, Richmond, London. Nutty and smooth, caramelly, lightly grainy, dry and bitter, smooth mouthfeel, typical of Fullers.

Draught. I had been building this up for weeks, based on the description on the Autumn Beer Festival leaflet Fullers distributed. I walked all across London looking for it. When I tried some I found it to be a very, very drinkable session beer. It is fairly sweet, red ale. Small white head. Malty, with a little hop character. There was certainly a hint of oats. Overall a fine beer, one I hope becomes a yearly brew for Fullers.

Cask. Reddish brown. Very malty, only slightly bitter. Almost no aftertaste. Very drinkable.

Cask Conditioned, at the Euston Flyer, Euston, London.
Amber with a frothy white head. Toasted, rolled oats flavour. Bitter butterscotch malts. Not too bad but a little thin. I was actually pretty disappointed given the build up I had had in my mind.
Part of the Beerlimey & Spiesy, tearing it up in London (on a Wed night) Tour.

this is really nice, had it in the old bank on the strand in an old dimpled pot. definitely a good way to start your day. It is easy to drink, not too malty. A session beer
