COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Seasonal - May to August.
Light, smooth, and refreshing, Summer Ale is pale gold in colour, and at 3.9% alcohol by volume, an excellent quaffing ale. It delivers a flavour most lagers can only dream of, thanks to its all-malt brew (containing malted wheat), and 100% Saaz hops, a Czech variety found in the best pilseners. Like Organic Honey Dew, it should always be served chilled.

(Cask): Clear golden colour, very thin white head. Caramel, malt and some light hop notes in the aroma. Sweet caramel and malt flavour with some hop and fruit notes to balance. Nothing special.

Cask at the Holly Bush NW3. Light yellow gold in colour, not much of a head. Unusual taste said Gowri, Iím guessing the wheat and lager hops. Despite the general panning I thought this was ok for a summer quaffer, light slight tang to the malt and some gentle hopping. Went down easily.

Cask @ Euston Flyer London. It's like a flat lager, that's just about it. It's a drink you could get your lager boy friends to have off a hand pull that they wouldn't hate. It tastes almost like a flat lager, but with a rounder mouthfeel- not crisp but vs a megalager I'd have it. It's just about OK. I imagine it's very sessionable though. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Gold, little or no head; light malty aroma; light fruit, malt; thinnish (Iím sure Iíve had much better pints of this in the distant past); disappointingly no more than ok.
