COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Seasonal - May to August.
Light, smooth, and refreshing, Summer Ale is pale gold in colour, and at 3.9% alcohol by volume, an excellent quaffing ale. It delivers a flavour most lagers can only dream of, thanks to its all-malt brew (containing malted wheat), and 100% Saaz hops, a Czech variety found in the best pilseners. Like Organic Honey Dew, it should always be served chilled.

On tap at the Ship in Wokingham. Clear yellow with a bubbly head. Light citrus aroma. Very dry, carby. Not but but I found it bland.

Cask at Londonís Pride, Heathrow T2. It pours clear golden with a tiny white head. The nose is bready, grainy, cereal, dull caramel sweetness and honey. The taste is soft, sweetish grain, white bread, light honeyed cereal, grass and a touch of spice with a short, dryish finish. Light body and soft carbonation. Simple and not a lot to it. Sessionable, but pretty boring.

"A sunny golden ale" - 3.9% but tasted stronger. Nice light golden colour, with a mild hoppy flavour. Aftertaste of creosote and malt not unpleasant. Served quite cold but I needed that: another hot day in London so I was after a thirst quencher.

Cask at the Drayton Court. Dark gold with a thin lacing head, light golden malt nose with hints of spicy hops, lightly sweet with a crisp malty edge. Reminiscent of an ale version of a Helles lager.
