3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cask @ The Star Tavern. The pourís reddish amber with a tiny orange white head. The nose is jammy berry, some cherry, sweet malty aromas. Hints of grass and spruce tree hoppiness. The taste is smooth, rich malts. Honey-baked brown bread. Caramelized red berries. The finish has a touch of peppery hops and cedar wood. Smooth, easy to drink. Soft carbonation. Overall, not bad. I like this more than Wild River...

(Cask): Ruby brown with a small white head. Aroma of malt and fruits. Malty flavour, some biscuit and fruit notes on the finish. Quite a generic beer but is nice for winter months.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask at Bishopís Arms, MalmŲ, Norra Vallgatan
Cloudy amber color with some head. The aroma shows signs of English hops, some yeast, and light esters. Smooth undercarbonated mouthfeel; it had a sharp yeasty character, somehow expected in a bitter, light lemony touch, and also a rather metallic final.
A bit harsh, but itís nice to get a cask Bitter once in a whileÖ

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Sample from cask at the brewery. Amber to reddish brown colour. Very moderate aroma, a hint of citrussy hops. The flavour is moderately malty and biscuity, some bitterness in the finish, but not impressive. Might rerate when I get a full pint.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cask@blackdoor. Reddish. Toffee caramel, some herbals and earthyness in hops. Pretty nice, quite dark caramelly, real ale. Lighter medium body, smooth, with a newcastle-brown-ale- like burnt caramel finish. Really nice for a glass, might be too sweet caramel for a session. Good though.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
(Cask at Black Door, 20131025) The beer poured mahogany coloured and clear. Its head was small and white. Aroma had malts, strawberry. toffee and caramell. Palate was medium bodied with low carbonation. Flavours were malts, toffee, caramell, hops and lowish bitterness. Aftertaste was malty and bitter. A tasty malty bitter. I didnít notice the special hops used.
