Bottle at Aarhus beerfestival: Pours clear amber with a red hew & a off white head. Super "old" (in a good way , though it is close be dominated by its mouldy/cellar feel) & matured aroma. Lots of toffee & caramel. Oak & port. Round & vinous. Sticky. I am thankfull for being one of the few lucky ones to try this!

Bottle shared in London - huge thanks to Colin for hauling in this whale. Pours mostly clear, amber-brown with a frothy, tan head. The nose has some nice, lightly tangy berry fruits on the nose, slight leather, toffee, wood. Medium sweet flavor, more toffee, old fruits, leathery cherries, caramel, mellow tang, slight basement. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation; impressively well conditioned for the age. Sweet finish with some jammy, leathery fruits, gooey toffee, slight wood. Excellent beer.

Amber beer with a small white head. Aroma has caramel and some butterscotch, with a strong sherry note to it. Smooth, fruity and caramel flavour quite vineous.

[my 300th English brew!]
Pours clear dark red-brown with a medium, frothy/creamy head that is a slight yellow in colour. Aroma is very lightly oxidized, wonderful toffee notes, grainy chewy malts and a little apples and black currants. Super, creamy and oily mouthfeel - fair carbonation. Flavour has port, oak, vinious, overripe fruits - and a fair cellar note that still hasnít taken over. This was probably a good time to try this vintage (even in the rarer white box). Wonderful - and by far the next-best Vintage (folleing the 1999).
