[Sampled October 11, 2003] The aroma is sweet and very complex with notes of plums, alcohol, fruit and sligt earth. The color is amber and it has a beutiful though disappearing head. The flavor is great; a nice sweetness with notes of plums, wood, fruits, figs, and slight hints of the alcohol. This is a great beer - that has aged very well.

Rich brown and amber color with a thin white head. Aromas of caramel and nuts with dried fruits., mostly plums and sweet grapes. The taste is super carame, raisens, malt and prunes. Super sweet but somehow lively enough to clense the palate. The finish though, I get some creaminess like cashew butter.

Pours a murky dark amber color with a very thin head. Excellent aroma and flavor of candy and caramel with heavy malts and mild alcohol. Light to medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Great stuff. Merci David !

Pours amber with a thin white head. Smells of cherries, fresh fruit, hints of residual sugar, woody. Tastes of cognac, light booziness that is complimentary, some nice fruity hints, touches of earthiness. Finishes with a hint of sherry. Enjoyable.

[ Bottle shared by Clark at BCTC ’07 ] Poured a dark orangey amber with dark brown hues. Carbonation has held up well. Brown sugar, rich caramel malts, slightly vinous in the finish. This beer held up extremely well. Thanks Clark!

Bottle I shared with all the great people at Stone Sourfest. Pours with a large tan head over a hazy golden body. Aroma of sherry, caramel berries, raisins, honey and biscuit. Taste is very long lasting with caramel, and biscuit malts with sherry, brandy and some oxidation. Smooth with light bubbles. This beer held up very well, way better than expected!

I was one of those lucky ones BMan shared with. Thanks a bunch. Hazy burnt orange glass. Off-white ring. Nose is sharp oak and smooth booze. Taste is sweet to clean malt to vanilla to brown sugar.
