Cloudy mahogany with a huge beige head. Sweet flavour with overripe fruits, slightly oxydized, roasted malt, caramel and hints of hops. The slightly oxydized flavour had roasted malt, caramel, overripe fruits, hops and toffee. Finished dry and bitter. Not bad.

Bottle (50 cl), thanks Jonte. Clear deep copper, medium off-white head. Deep earthy and dusty cellar aromas, with some wood, and herbal hops. Medium bodied and smooth. Dry and well balanced, a it short aftertaste. Very nice, has aged very well.

Bottle. From the brewery. Tasting at Ekstedt´s place. Amber/brown colour with a beige head. Aroma of wet wood, dust, earth, old potatoes, caramel, menthol. Malty and old flavor, earth/dust, cellar, caramel, wood, a bit vinous. Medium bitter. Low, but still existing carbonation. Still nice, but past it´s best before date. A bit too much dusty/earthy notes.

Bottle from bbb63... Pours much similar to 1999 but overall with a much nod to caramely malt and not as complex as the 1999... Flavorwise are much of the same without as much of layers in the malt profile. Again a little thin but to be expected.

500ml shared by Fred. Thanks, Fred! Been a while since I’ve had a Fullers Vintage, and one whiff of the nose - a bit of sweet sherry, some toffee, and a lingering fruitiness - reminds of how well they pull off these complex, warming brews. Lovely amber color, deep fireplace vibe. Mouthfeel still has a bit of carbonation, surprising given its decade of existence. Slight oxidation in the taste, but overall very complex with a mellowed depth that is easy to admire and enjoy.

Thanks Bob’s friend Fred for sharing. Pours a copper amber with a one finger tan head. Nose is earthy and papery, oxidation/age, sweet with some caramel, mild alcohol. Flavor is oxidized and papery, sweet, some sherry, caramel malt, English feel with some leafy hop character. Palate lacked carbonation.
