COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle conditioned version of Golden Pride.

Nice clear orange brown color with a dense head and nice lacing. Taste is full bodied with a nice sweetness of malts and flavors of vanilla, tea and clove. This stuff is worth the fancy packaging it deserves.

Bottle at Ungstrupís - Thanks. Pours a clear brown with a tiny off white head. Sweet with aromas of prunes and malts. Hints of port. Tiny toothpastish hints too. Some burnt malts aromas. Full bodied. Soft carbonation. Dry and sweet finisn.

RateBeer Summer (Toronto) í02: Clear orange color, molasses nose. The chewy-syrupy sweet-ending suggests to me that it will age well. I guess Iíll find out in a few years.

Sample during tasting @ ÷lrepubliken. Pours hazy amber with no head worth mentioning. Smell is sweet and malty with caramel, alcohol, toffee, rubber, lemon zest, overripe plums, raisins, sweet dark bread, cherries in liqueur, moist soil and hints of leather and cardboard. Taste is sweet, bitter and malty with caramel, toffee, alcohol, leather, orange zest, moist wood, grass, vanilla fudge and leather. Mouthfeel is round, oily bitter, tiny boozy and medium to full bodied. Finish is tiny sweet, bitter and tiny sour with caramel, lemon fudge, wood, leather and grass. Very nice but would probably have been even better about 2 years ago...

Pint Bottle from Walt via trade - Thanks! - Pours dark amber in color with a fairly short creamy tan head. Lots of floaters in this one... Aromas of big yeast, some raisin, lots of caramel, slight toffee. Flavor of yeast, raisin, caramel, toffee, and some earthy notes. Smooth as silk on the palate with medium body and low carbonation.. Not the best of the vintages for this brew in my opinon..

Bottle @ Kookfest. Almondy nutty malts. Fruity finish. Mild hop flavours in this one which werent enought to balance out the sweetness. On the whole not bad, despite being out of kilter.

( Bottle NO. 22970) Red-ish brown, hazy colour. Thick head. Sweet, malty aroma with hints of marzipan. Thick mouthfeel. Quite sweet, but not cloying flavour with notes of liquorice. Long dry, woody finish.

Bottled. Amber with a soft, smooth beige head. Big ripe cherry aroma, with lots of sweet malts. Alcohol is prominent on the nose but is more acceptable on the palate. Sweet flavour that lingers something chronic on the palate. The flavours naturally change as it warms and as the palate tires. Sweetness transitions into a thick bitterness which becomes hard work. Very impressive that so much of everything could be packed into a beer but generally thatís not the point.
