Ofortuna (310), Grafton, Wisconsin, USA May 8, 2008 From my backlog. Thanks to Jason for this. Tasted side-by-side with a 2004 vintage. Wonderfully complex with its golden promise base malt and delicate caramelization. Perfectly aged and very nuanced with a slight oxidative property to it, but that wasn’t overpowering at this point. Bits of some plums, mild herbal character all swimming beneath the upfront caramel flavour added to its complexity. Aged better than the 2004.
