Commercial Description:
Bottle conditioned version of Golden Pride.
Limited to 50,000 Bottles. As the year of the Golden Jubilee the golden theme was applied to this special commemorative Vintage Ale. Goldings hops and Golden Promise malt were used to produce this copper coloured ale with a fruity, orange peel aroma and a spicy, satisfying taste.

From my backlog. Thanks to Jason for this. Tasted side-by-side with a 2004 vintage. Wonderfully complex with its golden promise base malt and delicate caramelization. Perfectly aged and very nuanced with a slight oxidative property to it, but that wasn’t overpowering at this point. Bits of some plums, mild herbal character all swimming beneath the upfront caramel flavour added to its complexity. Aged better than the 2004.

Pours copper with a thin white head. Smells of oak, some fruit, caramel, earthy. Tastes of dark fruit, spice, slightly tarte in a complimentary way. Finish yields more woody hints.
