Pours a hazy, nutty brown with a small, off-white head leaving some lacework. Aroma of prunes and overripe fruit. Quite full-bodied with lots of dried fruit accents - prunes in particular. The alcohol is extremely prominent in the finish also suffering from a somewhat brutal bitterness making this version less round and subtle than previous vintages. 020707 Panzuriel (993), Westerville, Ohio, USA

Lots of dark fruit in the taste. FrankJohansen (3367), Århus-Randers Crew, Denmark

Heavy Mouthfeel...Smooth and Creamy. Most Noticeable is an Underlying Dryness to the Beer...Like an Effect From Aging in Wood. Strong Malty Presence..Some Light Raisin/Fruit Notes. Bit of a Grapey Tang. Nice Strong Ale...Nice Warming. Overall an Enjoyable Ale.
