MrEcted1 (144), Wheat Ridge, Colorado, USA Oct 12, 2006 Truly an EXCELLENT strong ale from fullers. I am lucky that my local liquor store has plenty of the 2004’s left, so I am sampling 2 year old brews. Pours a cloudy orangish-brown hue. Not very much head or lacing. Flavor is great, definitely has that English character to it. A bit fruity with apple being the most dominant. Figs, toffee all come through as well. Alchohol is a little more present then I like, but not too distracting. Excellent. screwball (796), Motala, Sweden Oct 8, 2006 Red-brown color body with a begie head. The first that hits me is the aroma. It´s malty and with nots from burnt sugar. Also plums and vanilla. The flavor is milky, malty and with toffee. Some chocolate as well. Hint of alcohol but it just makes it better. Numenor (869), Richmond, Virginia, USA Sep 24, 2006 Botle #92961: Orange-brown body with a thin white head. Caramel, nut and hop aroma, light matls. Taste is similar with some light spices and a bit more of a hop fropfile. Sweet, caramel ending. beermouth (434), Langeskov, Denmark Sep 20, 2006 Just found a bottle in the back of my cooler. Deep, intens amber with thin white head. Cane sugar, caramel, spice and malt. Sweetness is very dominent, but still with a bit hops. maniac (2628), Richmond, Virginia, USA Sep 18, 2006 Clear caramel body with a small off-white head. Aroma of caramel and some fruity, almost apple hints. Sweet caramel flavor and some fruity kick. fiulijn (7150), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Sep 17, 2006 Aged 2 years Dark amber color, with a spectacular, generous, creamy head. The aroma is malty, not too strong, with caramel, light spices, hazelnuts, showing some complexity. Malty taste, with loads of caramel; the mouthfeel is drier than usual, but becoming rounder when the beer is really warmer. The final is long, bitter with a lot of caramel. Less impressive than other vintages. waolsen (1220), Littleton, Colorado, USA Sep 8, 2006 bottle 93641. nice amber pour with thin head. oak, raison, malt, sugar, alcohol, floral aroma. fig, cider, oak, a little flat, sugar, roasted malt, mollasses, with a dry and creamy finish. as it warms it doesn’t seem so flat. As the beer goes on I like it more and more. I’d like to get some more and let it age. Great beer. Phatz (225), Paradise, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 6, 2006 I had a 2004 vintage # 75579 The presentation is fantastic in this beautiful collectors box and inside is a unique 18.6 oz brown pint bottle. It looked very light while pouring, but it sits in the glass at a coppery transparent color. Huge head! I got like four fingers of head in my oversized Victory pint glass. Significant lacing. It has a great smell of gentle port. Hint of sweet fruit like a tangerine, then grapes. As it warmed the smell got to a darker fruit like raisins or figs. It makes me think of wine. (?) The taste is fantastic but pretty straight foreword. Extremely malty flavor with hints of dark fruit, and gentle on the taste buds. It is so soft on the taste bud I can’t imagine anyone saying it tastes bad; even if it is not there preference. The mouthfeel is amazing (so much so I consider it a highlight of this beer). If I had not poured it myself I’d have thought it was on-cask. It is the creamiest feel. This is full bodied but light and frothy. One of the most gentle creamy mouthfeels I have ever experienced. Each sip you just want to last forever; it just feels right! It is fantastically drinkable. It’s so pleasant in the mouth that I would anticipate the next the next sip; yet it is a beer that can’t be rushed. It is too pleasant to rush through. In other words it is worth the money. Someone complained it was $6 a bottle. I only wish I lived in that state. In PA its $9 a bottle and WELL worth the money.

EDIT:
In fact I went back and bought three more to age for another year.

Hope this is helpful.
Cheers!
