This 50cl bottle had been chilling in my cellar for several years. Split four ways at a Christmas party, 2015. Pours a hazy amber with some creamy, sudsy, off white head. Nose has some signs of oxidation, but not terrible, dried orange peel, toffee, raisin, light port, a little fresh cherry. Flavor follows right along, malt, caramel, toffee, a little light candy, even a little cough drop, orange peel and a little spruce, some estery notes I have to assume are oxidation, raisin, port. Finishes a touch boozy, but otherwise dry. This held up exceptionally for 10 years in the bottle.

Bottle #27921. Hazy reddish brown, quickly reducing cap, spotty lacing. Aroma of caramel, cherry, raisin. Taste is sweet with developing bitterness. Palate is smooth, medium carbonation (held up nice), but some noticeable oxidation. Nothing crazy for its age.

I didn't take any extra notes when I tried this beer for the first time but I'm gonna try it again and update my comments. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
