COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle conditioned.
Ingredients: Floor malted Optic malt; Fuggles and Super Styrian hops.
Edition of 100,000
This full-bodied vintage is brewed with Fuggles and Super Styrian hops that create a tapestry of rich, spicy flavours. Orange, citrus and fruitcake notes are all present, and are balanced well with the biscuity, creamy malt flavours leaving a soft and warming finish.

Bottle from my extensive Fullers Vintage stash. A hazy orange/brown coloured pour with a thin white head on top that doesnít hang around for long. Sweet, boozy, caramel, dark fruit aroma. Taste is similar, slightly boozy, dark fruit, caramel, quite sweet. Actually not too boozy and quite easy to drink. This has aged very well, bloody tasty stuff.

Bottle shared. Pours cloudy amber/brown with an off-white head. Aroma is malty, some alcohol, bready, floral, some fruits and a bit leathery. Taste is quite sweet and light to medium bitter. Full bodied with soft carbonation.

Big thanks to Sid for sharing this at RBAG 2013, from the verticel 2005-2008, brown copper pour, smell is rasins, lots and lots carmel, a very enticing aroma with rich complexity, taste is even more smooth than the 2008, a great sipper, with a clean malty finish, my favorite of the several we tried.

Bottle - Vertical 2005 to 2008 - Raisin, toffee on the nose. Cloudy brown with a tiny head. Brown sugar, raisin and the usual port suspects and some light alcohol to the end. More like a barley wine and no bitterness. The best example in this vertical.

Pours slightly hazy amber/ruby with a medium off white head. Aroma is mild sherry. Flavor has notes of caramel and toffee...mild sherry...faint oxidation. Mouthfeel is tmedium and very silky with an earthy/sherry/mild cardboard finish.

Pours orange/amber with very minimal dark yeast droplets coming from the bottle. Minimal sediment. Slight sour aroma. Mostly alcohol/rum, wood, butterscotch. Extremely uniform from nose to palate. With the addition of a little spice, alcohol heat, and some raisin sweetness. Carbonation is ample and soft, but dies almost completely 30 minutes in. Nice experiment.

Stopped regular rating 22nd Oct 2012 so this is one of one of my occasional ratings, had this for the Online Mass Rating for Fullers Vintage on 11th December 2012 This beer was better than the 2004 but maybe not quite as good as the 2011. Plenty of orange and whilst quite sweet, it is a sweetness that works rather well. Fruity with a hefty maltiness, some toffee and quite warming but not to heavy on the alcohol front, it has definitely mellowed with age. Reasonable carbonation, looks good and drinking very well. Bottle at home, from the brewery shop, during the Fullers Vintage mass online tasting - 11/12/12. Bottle #14779. Pours a slightly hazed orange brown with an off white head that quickly dissipates leaving a few small bubbles atop the glass. Nose comprises sweet sugars, toffee apple, rhubarb, prunes, orange, fruit cake and a hint of booze. Tastes of sweet toffee, sugars, bread pudding with syrup, dried fruits, caramel, touch of booze but very well integrated. Full bodied, fine carbonation, smooth on the palate. Overall a very good vintage, sweet complex and well balanced.
