Ingredients: Floor malted Optic malt; Fuggles and Super Styrian hops.
Edition of 100,000
This full-bodied vintage is brewed with Fuggles and Super Styrian hops that create a tapestry of rich, spicy flavours. Orange, citrus and fruitcake notes are all present, and are balanced well with the biscuity, creamy malt flavours leaving a soft and warming finish.

Bottle # 24635. Clear deep amber with fine tan head. Wood, hops, spice and caramel. Lackís a bit balance, but it will come with age! Still young!

Bottled. (forgot to write down the damn batch number). Clear red/brown in colour. It has a fluffy and foamy white head. The aroma is toffee like and there are malty and sour scents as well. The flavour is filling, malty and a bit bitter.

UPDATED: FEB 23, 2012 Not as good as 2004, or even 2005. Carbonation and bitterness in the forefront, then flushed through with malt followed by scotch taste. Sorry, had it five years down the road and it was too sweet, although aromas more cognac-like. A malty winter warmer, tasted 6 years later.

aroma is quite harsh, lots of booze. this beer is still definetly young. flavour is alot of buscuity malt, and some hoppy bitterness. will definetly benefit from a few years in the cellar. should mellow out.

Sparkling dark copper colour with a fizzy white head. Fresh malty aroma with a little citrusy note and just a touch of alcohol making its way through at the end. Brown sugar and raisins also in the nose. The body is very sweet with brown sugar notes. Nicely balanced with a smooth hop bitterness at the end. A bit sweet for my liking, probably because itís a bit young, but itíll do for now.

I had to break into this one early and it was worth it. Although I do see this one getting better with age. Some time would probably mellow out the underlying harsh alcohol notes. Very nice sweet port flavour with a touch of hops... would have liked more hops. Canít wait to crack open my other bottle in a year or two. Cheers!

2006 bottle. The first half pours an uninspired medium gold with no head, lots of carbonation, no lacing. Light sweet hop aroma. First taste knocks my head back with sugary sweetness. It gets better, but it still remains quite sweet all the way through. This is the second beer in a row that Iím judging as too sweet - after the Sam Adams Double Bock from yesterday. The alcohol is noticeable - and rather welcoming, I must say. This was my first of this series, though I didnít let it age since I am about to move house.
