Stopped regular rating 22nd Oct 2012 so this is one of one of my occasional ratings, had this for the Online Mass Rating for Fullers Vintage on 11th December 2012 This beer was better than the 2004 but maybe not quite as good as the 2011. Plenty of orange and whilst quite sweet, it is a sweetness that works rather well. Fruity with a hefty maltiness, some toffee and quite warming but not to heavy on the alcohol front, it has definitely mellowed with age. Reasonable carbonation, looks good and drinking very well. Bottle 25578 shared along side a 2004 version at the 28th April 2015 Shrewsbury Bottle Swap Meeting (five of us). Brown with not much of a wispy head to mention. Fruit cake with nuts in both the aroma and taste, not as smooth or mellow as the 2004, but getting there: still a very drinkable beer and a joy to try.

Árpaborhoz hasonlatos árnyalatban tetszeleg a koros angol főzet, melyhez a leírás alapján csakis a legnemesebb összetevőket használták a mesterek.

Bottle shared by Tmoney99. Pours a clear amber color with a thin soapy off white head. The aroma was sweeter caramel, ripe fruits and yeast. The flavor has sweet caramel, doughy malts, ripe fruits, some citrus, decent. The mouthfeel is smooth and somewhat viscous. Good to try once.

Bottle enjoyed on Christmas day - ruby red with a light brown fizzy head which fades to a ring. Very lively body, with little lacing. Aroma of caramel, toffee and blackberries with hints of port and alcohol. Taste of sherry, blackberries, raspberries, port and oak with hints of yeast and loads of chocolate. Medium heavy body, low carbonation. Very rich, slightly sweet. Tastes kind of like port, incredibly nice.

500 ml bottle. Bottle #00469. Courtesy of lusikka. The Grand Vintage Tasting.
Clearish amber colour with a small off-white head. Rennie (or some other medicine used to make you feel alive), dark fruits, sweetness, Coke and mild metal notes in the aroma. The flavour is mild hops, mild bitterness, mild alcohol, dark fruits, sweetness, sugar and some maltiness. This is so much more fresh than the older ones (1999-2002). Not bad at all.

500 ml bottle @ the Grand Vintage Tasting, Tampere. Pours a copper brown colour with small thick head. Aroma of bread, raisins, grass and red berries. Flavour of rich bready malts, English toffee, raisins, some blackberries and grassy bitterness. Some spiciness. Medium bodied and smooth mouthfeel. Rather soft carbonation. Great. No signs of aging. Alcohol shows itself.
