Commercial Description:
A classic Vintage Ale with an aroma which incorporates spicy hop notes with rich fruit character and leads on to a very full malty, fruity, sweet palate which has a surprisingly clean finish coupled with a matching bitterness.
I have handcrafted this beer from the finest Fuggles, Target and Super Styrian hops, Maris Otter malted barley and of course, our unique yeast to create a truly extraordinary unique brew. - John Keeling, Brewmaster

Tallahassee, Fl. - Liquor Loft - 500 ml bottle - #140306. Dark copper pour with long lasting thin white head. Pleasant malty, sweet aroma with hints of raisins, molasses, baked brown bread. Delectable flavor with some dates. figs, prunes and nuts. Back end has some baked brown bread - you know the kind in a can that you serve around the holidays. Thick creamy mouthfeel rounds this one out nicely. Not sure if its any different from their previous anniversary offerings - but I thoroughly enjoyed this one.

500 ml bottle # 03903. from the LCBO. pours reddish brown with a nice tan head. aromas are lovely plentiful english malts and a big dose of hops. almost barley wineish in the aromas. flavours are truely great. very solid malt structure provides ample balance to the aggressive hop profile. everything works very well together and the progression is very well thought out. this is my first of this vintage and im quite impressed.

rating #500, bottle from Brother Tuckers. Dark copper color with a decent white head. I smell malt and toffee...but when I drank it I was surprised to find it a bit hoppier and overall a well balanced beer. A good beer indeed!

Pours copper with a nice off white head. Smells fruity with some caramel undertones. Tastes spicy and citrussy with some sage and an earthy finish. Some nice fruity hints emerge as the beer warms. Nice!

Copper in colour with an off-white coloured head, good lacing. The aroma is of light caramel malt sweetness, pretty fresh and green. The flavour has some light alcohol, some caramel sweetness, hops come through at the back end. Lightly bitter mouthfeel, medium body, medium carbonation. Finishes sweet with some citrus, lingering.

The alcohol is well hidden but this is still very young and needs more time.

500ml bottle from the LCBO in Peterborough, Ontario.
Opened on February 16, 2008.
Bottle #34711.

Poured with a color if iced tea with decent frothy head and good lacing. This beer smells malty and sweet, to the point where i was a bit worried it would be unbalanced. I was pleasantly surprised! Rich super sweet malt, but enough spice and hop to balance this one out. This beer is teeming with the "teabag" flavor my buddy eaglefan538 refers to. Crisp and clean with no signs of diacetyl and full of English style hops. I was really digging this one.
