Commercial Description:
A classic Vintage Ale with an aroma which incorporates spicy hop notes with rich fruit character and leads on to a very full malty, fruity, sweet palate which has a surprisingly clean finish coupled with a matching bitterness.
I have handcrafted this beer from the finest Fuggles, Target and Super Styrian hops, Maris Otter malted barley and of course, our unique yeast to create a truly extraordinary unique brew. - John Keeling, Brewmaster

Bottle #86447. Beautiful deep amber, nicely lacing off-white head. Caramel malty nose, little grain, citric fruits and flowery hops. Alcohol gets more pronounced when warmer, but nothing too disturbing. Flavor is sweet caramel malts, resin and quite intense hops. Nice balancing seedy citric bitterness. Pretty good strong ale, nice piney & citric hops. I’ll surely try it again in a year or two.

500ml Bottle (#130198): Aroma of cream, herbs, malts, and Earth. Poured amber in color with a huge, foamy, dense, tan head that lasted throughout. Clear. Very sparkling. Flavor is light to medium bitter. Tastes of vegetables, caramel, hops, tea, and earth. Medium body. Chalky texture. Average carbonation. Creamy, lightly bitter finish.

Cask at Stockholm Beer Festival 2007. A hazy golden beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of vegetables, malt, and lemon. The flavor is sweet matly with notes of over ripe fruit and spices, leading to a dry bitter and woody finish. Not ready yet.

bottle #27611 Even this special box isn’t going to make me like this. Now, I love Fullers’ ales, absolutely love bitters too. However, this brew says "I want my face hot" or "I want to feel messed after half a pint." I would far prefer a more complex ale with way less alcohol content, which overpowers it all. I dare anybody to drink 3 of these & prefer it over 3 normal Fuller’s ale. Give me a glass of quality brandy or even wine over this beer. This special edition high alcohol beers brewed just to be "unique" are really trivial.

Thanks Presario! 08604 A nice oily amber body with a three finger active head. A few minutes later only lacing remains. Aroma is also nice being full of dark fruit, must, caramel. Flavor is mildly bitter dark fruit and caramel. Just the right amount of hops. Alcohol warmth but not a lot is tasted. Delicious and understated. Very well crafted!
