Commercial Description:
A classic Vintage Ale with an aroma which incorporates spicy hop notes with rich fruit character and leads on to a very full malty, fruity, sweet palate which has a surprisingly clean finish coupled with a matching bitterness.
I have handcrafted this beer from the finest Fuggles, Target and Super Styrian hops, Maris Otter malted barley and of course, our unique yeast to create a truly extraordinary unique brew. - John Keeling, Brewmaster

Bottle #144067. A cloudy brown golden color with a thick creamy off-white head. A caramel malt aroma with a touch of spice. A rich caramel malt flavor that drips over the palate and leaves a long bitter finish. Floral and nut elements exist throughout. My interest in this beer grew throughout the bottle.

Bottle #139857: Held to natural light (we call it the sun in Chicago) this has a clear golden amber body capped by a dense medium-sized head. Spotty lacing. The aroma has a caramel malt richness to it complemented by orchard fruit, cherries, a hint of alcohol, and a light floral bouquet. Very thick and creamy, albeit hot & peppery, mouthfeel. The alcohol is more pronounced in the flavor, but not distractingly so. Mainly it’s a mouthful of malt with some fruitiness and a floral bitterness joining for the ride. Malty finish with a stabbing of hops and a cool alcohol burn. Quite nice.

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a slowly diminishing and almost white head. Sweet fruity hops aroma. Light alcohol presence. Mild liqourice like flavour in addition. Ends with a mild lingering malt note. Nicely composed and balanced.

Bottle no. 128639. When the cap is popped there is a nice mist that floats lightly in place before emanating from the bottle. Pours a rich amber-orange with a creamy, puffy head. There is a very nice aroma of malts and spice. The mouth feel is heavy and the flavor is kind of sweet and sour, bold and bitter, and overall just delicious. I wish I had had the opportunity to try the previous vintages.

Bottled. Sweet, barley malt, vinous, but not cloying. This will probably age and develop well if you can keep your hands off the bottle opener. Golden brown, moderate carbonation.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber color with a small off-white head. Malty hoppy caramel and dark fruit aroma. Sweet malty caramel flavor with some hoppy hints and hints of dark fruit. Fruity malty finish with some hints of dark fruit in the aftertaste.
