TomDecapolis (2312), Collegeville, Pennsylvania, USA May 6, 2008 Thanks to egajdzis for sharing this one. Pours a mostly translucent amber with golden notes and a smaller bubbly off white head. Aroma of tea, caramel, nuts, sweet malts and toffee. Flavor of malty sweet notes, nuts, toffee, floral, lightly fruit notes and tea.
Goodgrief (992), Middletown, Delaware, USA Jun 26, 2008 Poured with a color if iced tea with decent frothy head and good lacing. This beer smells malty and sweet, to the point where i was a bit worried it would be unbalanced. I was pleasantly surprised! Rich super sweet malt, but enough spice and hop to balance this one out. This beer is teeming with the "teabag" flavor my buddy eaglefan538 refers to. Crisp and clean with no signs of diacetyl and full of English style hops. I was really digging this one. Madsnp (95), Vinens Verden, Slotsgade, Denmark Jun 21, 2008 Bottle. Deep amber coloured with a moderate off white head. Aromas of hops, spicy sweetness, caramel and some milk chocolate. Flavour of hops, alcohol and malts. tlind2 (143), Helsinki, Finland Jun 19, 2008 Bottle. Deep amber color, thick off-white head. Very sweet and complex aroma, with caramel and some plum. Taste is full of juicy malts, sweet spices and some notes of alcohol. Very nice indeed and it went great with English Stilton. I have a couple of bottles stored away, so I’ll be rerating this one in a couple of years. jhliesen (328), West Melbourne, Florida, USA Jun 18, 2008 Bottle--I wished I would have time to cellar this, but I bought it at a pub. The beer was a solid amber color with a foamy, off white head. The aroma was full of malt and some spice. The taste started with malts, followed by spices and finishing with an alcoholic bite. Overall, pretty complex. Brick Store Pub. BabyJoe692 (109), Pickerington, Ohio, USA Jun 18, 2008 Bottle. Pours with an amber color. Malty, fruity, spicy hop aroma. Sweet Dark fruity flavor. Ends with a hint of alcohol.
