Commercial Description:
A classic Vintage Ale with an aroma which incorporates spicy hop notes with rich fruit character and leads on to a very full malty, fruity, sweet palate which has a surprisingly clean finish coupled with a matching bitterness.
I have handcrafted this beer from the finest Fuggles, Target and Super Styrian hops, Maris Otter malted barley and of course, our unique yeast to create a truly extraordinary unique brew. - John Keeling, Brewmaster

Cask at Stockholm Beer Festival 2007. A hazy golden beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of vegetables, malt, and lemon. The flavor is sweet matly with notes of over ripe fruit and spices, leading to a dry bitter and woody finish. Not ready yet.

Cask at Stockholm Beer Festival. Hazy amber. Sweet with syrupy malt. Salty and vinous with near full bodied. Thick but quite soft mouthfeel, notes of molasses and a lot of caramel. Fruity and appley with a long resiny finish. Intense and warming, yet a bit young.

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a slowly diminishing and almost white head. Sweet fruity hops aroma. Light alcohol presence. Mild liqourice like flavour in addition. Ends with a mild lingering malt note. Nicely composed and balanced.

Bottle at EBF08. Vinous aroma. Cloudy reddish brown colour. The flavour is actually not that powerful, vinous with some alcohol.

Cask@SBWF2007. Reddish amber colour, not much head. Aroma is very red wineish along with some hints of vanilla, alcohol and sweet malts. Flavour is the same with yeast, some fruits and apples and raisins. Long aftertaste of wine and earth. A bit sharpedged still, so probably need some time to smoothen up. 7 4 7 4 15

Bottled (91893). Amber colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is grass, caramel, spices, slight alcohol and vanilla. Flavour is vanilla, grass, spices, grassy hops and some mild notes of alcohol. More balanced than the cask at SBWF2007 was. 8 4 8 4 16.
