Aroma: intensive smells of candy malty and toasty grains; notes reminiscences of toffee, vanilla, wood, nutty and other dry-fruits. Ripe-fruitiness smells similar to red apple, peaches, apricots, and red raisins. Nose with sponge cake, nutmeg and cinnamon notes. Complex and nice.
Flavor: candy and toasty malts, sweet start and very nutty. Progress with reminiscences of cinnamon, vanilla, toffee, alfajor and truffle. Dry-fruit taste like almonds and nuts; too ripe fruity like stone peaches, peel red apple, some banana, plums, raisins and candy oranges. Warming, notes of whisky and old rum. Slightly hoppy finish, with floral touch. Malty and nutty aftertastes.
Palate: medium body with silky texture. Low carbonation.
Complex, nice and good balanced. Exquisite!
I stored other bottle for tasting in the 2010.

1/30/2008: Fuller’s Vintage Ale 2007 has a hazy orange color, thick and creamy beige head, dense lacing. The aroma and flavor are malty and the flavor has quite a bit of chewy fruitiness from the Marris Otter malt. There are some floral undertones and brandy alcohol flavors as well. The body of this beer is medium-full and is is very smooth and creamy.
1 pt. 0.9 fl. oz. bottle (Alc 8.5% vol). Rating #224 for this beer.

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 2/5 | 17/20 | Dec 5, 2007 Pours a beautiful clear amber with a decent but short-lived creamy head. Aroma is at first quite alcoholic, but opens up into a lovely malty aroma with notes of light fruit (apricot, peach, etc.) Tastes surprisingly strong - scotch-like malting (lots of caramel) with plenty of alcohol and a lovely lingering & warming hoppy finish. Delicious! A bit sweeter than I was expecting, but with good hopping to balance - yet not as hoppy as 2006’s vintage. Body is low to moderately carbonated, not too thin but not particularly creamy. This beer will definitely benefit from a few years of aging, and I intend on stocking up. Very nice dessert beer, a real treat! travita (1970), Frisco, Texas, USA

Fruit cake, woody, moist pipe tobacco. Sweet sticky malty body, apple pie and raisins, spicy and warming. Very young, I expect an old one to be more sophisticated. jkwalking05 (1501), Arlington, Texas, USA
