Commercial Description:
A classic Vintage Ale with an aroma which incorporates spicy hop notes with rich fruit character and leads on to a very full malty, fruity, sweet palate which has a surprisingly clean finish coupled with a matching bitterness.
I have handcrafted this beer from the finest Fuggles, Target and Super Styrian hops, Maris Otter malted barley and of course, our unique yeast to create a truly extraordinary unique brew. - John Keeling, Brewmaster

bottle 122683. amber pour with a thin cream colored head. nose of caramel, malts, sugar and dried fruits. nice thickness with a big sweet malt flavor that finishes with caramel and honey. not bad at all, I bet some more age will do this beer just right.

Pours to a reddish amber hue, with a never-ending head... a beautiful ’look’ to the beer... Tastes quite malty, with a nice hopped bitterness to finish... an excellent beer!

Pours attractive ruddy caramel with a thin lasting tan head. The nose is quite a bit of dried fruits and malty caramel. Some apricot standing out as well. The flavor is smooth and malt sweet and dried fruit as well, with a touch of oak in the mid palate to finish. Quite smooth on the palate and dry, lasting fruity flavor with some subtle smoke.

Bottle # 119932, thanks to ericandersnavy. Pours a deep amber with nice beige head. Aroma of sweet caramel and dark fruit. Flavor of dark fruit and caramel. Mouthfeel is full bodied with med. carbonation. I really enjoyed this!

Bottle #86447. Beautiful deep amber, nicely lacing off-white head. Caramel malty nose, little grain, citric fruits and flowery hops. Alcohol gets more pronounced when warmer, but nothing too disturbing. Flavor is sweet caramel malts, resin and quite intense hops. Nice balancing seedy citric bitterness. Pretty good strong ale, nice piney & citric hops. I’ll surely try it again in a year or two.

Orange pour, citrus aroma of hops and some honey. Flavor of butterscotch and some lemon, with warm alcohol aftertaste. Good stuff.

rating #500, bottle from Brother Tuckers. Dark copper color with a decent white head. I smell malt and toffee...but when I drank it I was surprised to find it a bit hoppier and overall a well balanced beer. A good beer indeed!

Pours copper color with a thick creamy head resembling the top of an ice cream float. head dissipates into a thinner seafoam with massive lacing. Smells of sweet apples and buttered pecan. Taste is loaded with caramel, sauteed apples, light yeast, and butter. Delicious, but still not quite what North Coasts Old Stock ale is. Surprised cause i thought this one would dethrone it. Sticky with sweetness, but not cloying at all. two thumbs up.
