3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Steady carbonation, tiny bubbles rising through dark amber maintains a thin but even head. Aroma of baking cookies, spice, malt and soft alcohol. First sip is indeed tasty. Second mouthful has a big alcohol component. I like the gingerbread cookie and hop spice. The body is good. The alcohol seems more prominent than in past years. Instead of one every month I may pick up 2 ESBs for the same dollars. Maybe this one needs to age more than the last few years editions.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: JAN 18, 2009 Bottle (500ml) #27544. Clear burnt amber pour, solid two-finger foamy tan lasting head. Biscuity, somewhat boozy aroma, quite grainy and oddly raisin-like. The taste is a little sweet, and it seems woody, almost like a blended scotch - quite alcoholic. The mouthfeel is a little thin, it has a bit of an astringent bite, and is very well carbonated - decent, needs to mellow a lot.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: FEB 11, 2012 Bottle thanks to someone at the Bruery tasting. I have another in my cellar to age. Pours with a large, off-white head and a hazy bronze body. Aroma of figs, caramel, raisins and cereal. Taste is caramel and figs. Has a strong need to be aged. Light bubbles and a creamyish mouthfeel. One of the more aggressively bitter Fuller Vintage ales that I have had fresh.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Very inviting amber appearance.Medium head and relatively gentle presence of alcohol.Subtle bitterness and extremely well balanced making it dangerously easy to drink. Pleasant but certainly not a vintage year.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
500ml Bottle (# 147690): Sweet aroma of caramel, honey, wood, malts, slight apple, and light yeast. I really like the scent for some reason. Poured amber in color with a large, dense, off-white head that lasted throughout. Clear. Not sparkling. Excellent lacing. Flavor is medium sweet and slightly bitter. Tastes of wood, caramel, tobacco, tar, malts, slight molasses, light toasting, and slight resin. Medium body. Thin, slightly sticky texture. Soft to average carbonation. Lightly sticky, woody, honey, tobacco finish is sweet and lingers.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle 500 ml, number 24428 . Appearance: very nice shade of amber, clear crystal reflex with large majestic almost white, thick crown. 4+ Aroma: Mid caramel, brown malts with sweeter bottom. Slight hint of baking powder , vanilla and fresh hop buds. Aroma of alcohol very mild. Aroma of quality brewed strong ale. 8- Flavor/Palate: thick, oily full bodied front. Quiet malty, sticky sweetness with contrasting, neatly balancing dry alcohol. Softness of body somewhat heavy is lighter at edges noting some hop feel. Ale that was brewed to be aged, but there absolutely no need for that. Vintage 2008 yet best to date.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A Mes rate. bottle thanks to me supped with Ian and Alex at the Rake. Quite a light colour for a Fullers Vintage, I swear it gets paler each year. Yeasty and very bready on the nose. Quite syrupy and sickly but nice enough. Similar flavour with a lick of spice and some peppery alcohol and a tiny hint of liquorice. Nice fruity finish. A little basic but early impressions are that this could be a decent vintage given a few years to develop.

Pours a nice deep copper with a good sized white long lasting head
The taste is creamy and smooth nice warming alcohol edge and a touch spicy
Pretty good I would like to taste one that has been aged a while maybe I will have to pick up another one
