3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottled, 500ml (No. 54004) from Sainsburyís in Banbury. Tawny brown with off white head. There is a heady alcohol aroma to this, quite like Slivovitz Plum Brandy in character. The fruity theme follows into the beer, strong alcohol notes, plum, quite fiery and warming. There is little bitterness, the depth is all alcohol led, still a very decent beer though.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
500ml bottle, 2nd of the cellared Fulers I pulled this week. Same tawney colored clouded look, small off white cap with fair retention, modest effervescence. Aroma is a fantastic amamlgum of sweet malts, fruits, musty teaty tones and some vanilla undertones. Flavor is pure deight - mellow, rounded fully blended omplexity of malts, hops and yat products - malty, caramel, vanilla, nuts, spice - wonderful - extremely drinkable. wished I put down more of this.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Clear amber brew, slight head. Nose is toffee, caramel, grassy and floral hops. Some oxidation but adds something to the flavor - caramel and grass.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle - This bad boy has been sitting in the cellar for years, then the fridge for the last 6 months--finally got to it. Pours hazy amber with a thin white head. Nose is fruity and yeasty, with sweet bready malt and tons of honey. Taste is sweet, but not cloying sweet--honey sweet. Lots of mellow breadiness, a touch of nuttiness, and some grape/port notes. Big and full with medium carbonation. Didnít realize this would be as fruity and drinkable as it was, but color me impressed. Makes me wish I would have bought a couple of these!

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
30th May 2011
Cloudy brown beer, short lived tan head. Smooth palate, mild fine carbonation. Creamy caramel malt. Mild oxidisation. Sublte orange hop bitterness. But overall this is a sourish beer. Finishes semi dry. Tasty but already seems past itís best.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
500ml bottle (shared by FatPhil, thank you). Pours light brown with small head.Fresh and juicy, somewhat minty and lots of raisins in aroma. As it warms up some alcohol joins the party. Sweet, fresh hay, chocolate and raisins in flavor. Minty chocolate cake in aftertaste. Super beer.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
Deep orange brown with a decent marmaladely Christmas pudding nose. Slick flat light body with an inappropriate late finniness in the aftertaste. Strong alcohol. Structurally this beer just canít carry this beerís inteneded weight or complexity. At best disappointing.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
500ml bottle (Alko Arkadia, Helsinki)
A: 7 pleasant fruity cakey aroma
L: 4 Rich red, hint of haze, tight orangy-beige head.
T: 7 Some toffee and cakeiness, but I also get slightly floury aspects that Iím less keen on. Balance between the sweet cakey malts and the zesty hops is very nice. Flour subsides later, but is replaced by a bit of dustiness instead.
P: 4+ Full smooth palate, gentle carbonation. Cakey finish, some cut mixed peel with an almost orangy zesty tingle. Perfect for sipping after a meal. Hops do seem to build up sip after sip.
O: 16- Maybe itís becuase I like the bitter hops, but for me it improves sip after sip, the cakeiness never fades, but it becomes mellower and more succulent, and the hop bite never stops building up - lovely. Look forward to tasting this again in a year or two - it has enough sweetness and strength that it should age very well. (Yes, I know, it has had 4 years already.)
