COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our 12th Vintage features two of our favourite English hop varieties, Northdown and Challenger. These, combined with floor malted Maris Otter malt, produce a rich fruit aroma laced with dark orange hop notes. A full luxurious mouthfeel is finished off with a satisfying alcohol warmth.

Bottle at Chrisoís Fullers-Gales Tasting (thanks to Chris). It pours clear amber, with a thin off-white head. The nose is wood, tinned fruit (pear, melon, nectarine), brown sugar and spice. The taste is spice, fruit cake, alcohol warmth, leather, residual sweetness of tinned fruit, with a dry finish. Much dryer in the mouth and spicier than previous vintages tasted. Full body, moderate carbonation and sticky mouth-feel. Good.

Bottle care of Chris O. Colour is tawny brown. Nose is the usual characteristics of orange marmalade, sweet malty barley grain, caramel, but thereís also some bready, doughiness in there which Iíve not detected in previous years. Taste is all of the above and itís also quite crisp, some herbal bitterness and a dry finish.

Pours cloudy dark amber with an off white bubbly head. Aroma is sweet, candy, caramel, raisins, fidges, honey, floral, vinous. Flavor is not quite what I expected, sweet, malty, medium body, bitter, a bit phenolic. Finishes bitter and sweetish.

Forced to have this today - best by end of 2011 for the 2008 vintage bottle #130,235, pours a five+ very light tan head that fades slowly leaving some lace. Cloudy brown color with yeast left in bottle. Good carbonation and medium bodied. Caramel and light alcohol nose and flavor is caramel with a sweet alcohol finish. Another good year. $8.59 for a 500ml bottle from Beverage Warehouse Winooski, Vt.

Bottled. Pours russet with a pool of off-white head. A boozy aroma. A bit of sour fruit. Harsh alcohol in the mouth. Very fruity with cakey notes. Not got the warming mellow alcohol of other vintages and turns out too hot. Has chocolate notes amidst the bitterness. Not on a par with other years.

Nice crisp amber pour with a thin cream head. Nose is rich malts, toffee, dough, bread, and caramel. Excellent on the palate, huge malt bomb, dried fruits, toffee, bread, light chewiness.
