COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our 12th Vintage features two of our favourite English hop varieties, Northdown and Challenger. These, combined with floor malted Maris Otter malt, produce a rich fruit aroma laced with dark orange hop notes. A full luxurious mouthfeel is finished off with a satisfying alcohol warmth.

Another excellent brew in this series. Pours a deep copper with thin head. Aroma of malts, dried fruits. Flavor was deep and rich with pale malts, dough, dried fruits, and a lasting finish brought on by some bittering hops. I let this one age for almost 3 years and it was worth the wait. The flavor was even better as it warmed.

Grandios!Test vom 31.10.2009, Gebinde: Glasflasche

Bottle at Caspar’s Running Toilet Tasting. Pours vibrant copper-amber with a fine, white head. Quite a bit lighter in color than older vintages. Some light, leafy and herbal hops in the nose, with notes of caramel and toast. Medium sweet flavor, sugar, caramel, mild bitterness. Medium to full bodied with a tingly, pleasant mouthfeel. Mild warming finish, candy, sugar, caramel, a bit of fruit, not too much booze. Very, very good.

Nice crisp amber pour with a thin cream head. Nose is rich malts, toffee, dough, bread, and caramel. Excellent on the palate, huge malt bomb, dried fruits, toffee, bread, light chewiness.

Pours hazy mahogany into an English pint. Off-white head with medium retention recedes to skim surface. Bread, roasted nuts and pit fruit aromas. Slick, thick and sweet with hot toffee, caramel and bananas flambe front to back and through the lasting mildly bitter earth finish. Yummy.

Bottled. Dark brownishamber, rich but fairly brief head. Surprisingly hoppy with lots of mango. Sweet and fruity, full bodied with caramel and marzipan. Notes of brandyand molasses. Warming finish with medium bitterness. The best Fullers vintage I can remember.

Classy bottle from the LCBO. Bottle number 29200. Pours your typical ruby ESA, with a small beige head. Aroma is very nice, figs, earthy hops, big blend of various malts, maybe some fruity candy like stuff, figs seem to feature most prominently to me. They are nice. The flavour is very subtle, something I can appreciate, not as sweet as I was expecting, but malty nonetheless. Well balanced with some dry astringency in the finish probably from the hops. Again, those figs, but with an awesome malt backbone. Very nice fuller mouth feel. Not much sign of the ABV. I will have to buy some more to put away for a while as this baby is obviously meant to be aged in order to gain much complexity. Still, a good one to drink even now.

Bottle 500 ml, number 24428 . Appearance: very nice shade of amber, clear crystal reflex with large majestic almost white, thick crown. 4+ Aroma: Mid caramel, brown malts with sweeter bottom. Slight hint of baking powder , vanilla and fresh hop buds. Aroma of alcohol very mild. Aroma of quality brewed strong ale. 8- Flavor/Palate: thick, oily full bodied front. Quiet malty, sticky sweetness with contrasting, neatly balancing dry alcohol. Softness of body somewhat heavy is lighter at edges noting some hop feel. Ale that was brewed to be aged, but there absolutely no need for that. Vintage 2008 yet best to date.

Bottle No. 04764. Pours a amber orange with a good slightly off white head that slowly dissolves. Aroma is spicey, malt, soft bread cookie and alcohol. The flavour is top notch, malty toffee base, with a alcohol sweetness, some gingerbread cookie flavours, ends on with a note of good bourbon. The mouthfeel is smooth, and the finish is incredible. Have two more of these on the shelf, expecting good things to come of come aging them.
