4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Hazy orange, complex fruity and malty flavor and aroma, very smooth. Can taste target, fuggles and Golding hops. Great beer, more like a cognac than Golden Pride. Will try it again, definitively.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Copper in colour with a moderate off-white head, good lacing. The aroma is of alcohol, some vanilla, caramel malts and even a bit of liquorice. The flavour is of light alcohol, some chocolate, caramel malt sweetness, moderate bitterness. Lightly sweet mouthfeel, medium body, moderate carbonation. Finishes long and sweet with some alcohol warmth. Its good but like all the Vintage Ales the do get better after a few years.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle no. 106077. Pours a clear ruby color with a small white head. A Fullers nose of yeast, toffee and fruit. The flavor is medium toffee, more yeast, marmalade, some really nice port elements, fruity hops, a very sweet version pushing toward a BW, a bit of hops all through. Very solid beer as always with this series.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle at home, from the brewery, #89145 16/03/14.
Slow gusher warning - first time Iíve had that with a Fullers Vintage !
Very lightly hazed rich amber with a good sized beige head that soon collapses to a thin covering mid glass.
Nose is rich caramel, light booze, dark fruit, woody, prunes, dates, pinch of spice, nutmeg.
Taste comprises mellow dark fruits, fruit cake mix, dates, prunes, candied dry fruit peel.
Medium + bodiment, fine carbonation, sweetish licks in the close.
Ok stuff, left this one going for a good 80/90 minutes and the taste never really developed. Decent enough but far from the best in this range maybe try another one in a few years?

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
(bottle) Hazy, amber colour with a short and tanned foamy head. Vinous fruity aroma with notes of walnuts, shades of alcohol. Moderately sweet and slightly bitter flavour, full bodied with a pleasant carbonation. Dried fruit character with caramel, nuts, slightly vinous mouthfeel; lasting sweet and delicately bitter finish with notes of dried figs, but also an obvious touch of alcohol. 25.IX.13

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Fullers Vintage Ale 2010 has an extremely thick, soapy, cream-colored head, an opaque, orange or bright amber appearance, lots of bubbles clinging to the side of the glass, and large lacing splotches left behind. The aroma is of rich, sharp, bread crust, caramel, metal, cellar mold, and slightly turned fruits, like dates or figs. Taste is of all those elements, with sweetness and a fairly noticeable bitterness to balance it out. Mouthfeel is thick and viscous to an extent, and Fullers Vintage Ale 2010 finishes mostly dry, a bit alcohilic, rich, and sip-able. Overall, I am really glad I tried it. RJT
