Pours copper colored with about a inch of head. Aroma has a malty caramel character. Flavor is medium sweet with still medium hop bitterness to the finish. Caramel malts, alcahol bite. Fizzy carbonation, full bodied and oily texture. Overall a really enjoyable beer in the end of long day, it has as strong yet balanced character.

(bottle) Hazy, amber colour with a short and tanned foamy head. Vinous fruity aroma with notes of walnuts, shades of alcohol. Moderately sweet and slightly bitter flavour, full bodied with a pleasant carbonation. Dried fruit character with caramel, nuts, slightly vinous mouthfeel; lasting sweet and delicately bitter finish with notes of dried figs, but also an obvious touch of alcohol. 25.IX.13

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Fullers Vintage Ale 2010 has an extremely thick, soapy, cream-colored head, an opaque, orange or bright amber appearance, lots of bubbles clinging to the side of the glass, and large lacing splotches left behind. The aroma is of rich, sharp, bread crust, caramel, metal, cellar mold, and slightly turned fruits, like dates or figs. Taste is of all those elements, with sweetness and a fairly noticeable bitterness to balance it out. Mouthfeel is thick and viscous to an extent, and Fullers Vintage Ale 2010 finishes mostly dry, a bit alcohilic, rich, and sip-able. Overall, I am really glad I tried it. RJT

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottled 04/01/14. Bottle number 4385. A deep red coloured beer with a nice white head. Strong and boozy. Nicely balanced. Malty fruits. A little yeasty. Good hops. Tasty but not got the stand out depth of flavours other vintages have had. A bit of a standard English String Ale when allís said and done.
