COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The 2011 Vintage Ale, our 15th, is brewed with some of the finest of this yearís malt and hops. The malt grist includes a portion produced by Warminster maltings, from organic barley grown by Sir James Fuller on the Nestone Park Estate. This will be married with the choicest Goldings, Organic First Gold and award winning Sovereign hops, to produce a beer with a firm malt base, marmalade notes and a satisfying bitter finish. Individually packaged and numbered, this bottle is one of only one hundred and fifty thousand produced.

UPDATED: JAN 14, 2012 Once again, very good beer. Very nice color, even if it strong 8,5% it dosn?t taste alcohol. Also a fresh taste, me like!

Decided to treat myself to a Vintage this year having passed up the opportunity last time around. Having just finished the bottle, Iím glad I invested. Delicious. I got thick caramel, bags of flavour and a smooth finish that belies the alcohol level. Excellent.

took a break from the vintages for a couple of years, mostly in part to the last couple of vintages not showing up.. . pours a deep amber maple syrup .. . nice rich aroma, sweet and molassesy .. . light oxidation and a touch of brandy, interesting meld of flavours .. . good now, drink! .. . . If I had a mine shaft, I donít think I would just abandon it. Thereís got to be a better way..

bottle into English pint. Ruby-orange colour, large fizzy head. Aroma is caramel malt, some orange. Taste is bolder than the aroma would suggest, sweet, alcohol, some wood/oak notes. Look forward to this hitting the LCBO every Christmas, and this year is no exception.

Bottle from Waitrose. Pours a nice ruby colour with a short-lasting white head. Aroma of honey, oats and alcohol with a little orange peel also. Thick, oily mouth-feel with a flavours of wood, honey, malt and a fair warming alcohol presence. I really enjoyed this.

Amber colour. Big creamy head that diminishes quickly. Sweet. Full-bodied. Flat carbonation. Lightly bitter. Roasted. Some tar. Very balanced, nothing sticks out too much.

Aroma of mellow citrusy hops and pine, slight yeastiness. Pours a amber orange colour with a white lasting head. Lively mouthfeel and a long finish. Nicely hoppy but balanced. Fruitiness comes through and leaves a long bitterness. Slightly peachy and a hint of marmalade. Theres a touch of alcohol warmth but mainly well hidden for the strength and style. Very good indeed!
