COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The 2011 Vintage Ale, our 15th, is brewed with some of the finest of this year’s malt and hops. The malt grist includes a portion produced by Warminster maltings, from organic barley grown by Sir James Fuller on the Nestone Park Estate. This will be married with the choicest Goldings, Organic First Gold and award winning Sovereign hops, to produce a beer with a firm malt base, marmalade notes and a satisfying bitter finish. Individually packaged and numbered, this bottle is one of only one hundred and fifty thousand produced.

Bottle (50 cl) from Systembolaget. Clear amber, medium white head. Bisquity, slightly caramelly malt aroma with floral hops. Medium bodied, medium carbonation. Semi dry, medium bitterness. The best Vintage in many years, at least when fresh.

Bottle at Ekstedts tasting 2011-12-02. Amber beer with a small offwhite head. Malty aroma, alittle roasted. Malty flavor, bready, hoppy, some citrus. Hoppy finish with some roasted notes. As always I guess it will get better with time.

(Bottle, 0.5 l - #090347, 20111203) The beer poured ruby red and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had malts, dried plum, strawberry and alcohol. Palate was medium bodied and warming with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, dried plum, alcohol, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty and mildly roasty. This one was too young but still pretty good. The harshess will quite likely disappear with aging.

Awesome fresh tasting barley wine - not a hint of the 8.5% abv but a beautiful fresh aroma and flavour. Solid all the way.

Cask at White Horse Parson’s Green. It pours deep amber-brown, with a thin beige head. The nose is cinnamon, caramel, golden syrup, gingerbread and lemon. The taste is wood, caramel, toffee, varnish, brown sugar, alcohol warmth, dark fruit, syrup, pear and melon, with a dry finish. Full body and soft carbonation. Perhaps a bit too sweet. Could be done with a big of aging.

Entered to celebrate my 9000th Rating. Pours ruby amber with a small creamy head and lacings. Fruitcake and caramel at first. Some port and a fine level of vinousness (already). A bit of vanilla and caramel with a fine fresh hop bitterness in the end. Very nice, though very young. Better than previous years. No question.
