COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The 2011 Vintage Ale, our 15th, is brewed with some of the finest of this year’s malt and hops. The malt grist includes a portion produced by Warminster maltings, from organic barley grown by Sir James Fuller on the Nestone Park Estate. This will be married with the choicest Goldings, Organic First Gold and award winning Sovereign hops, to produce a beer with a firm malt base, marmalade notes and a satisfying bitter finish. Individually packaged and numbered, this bottle is one of only one hundred and fifty thousand produced.

Bottled (No 52349 from Alko Prisma, Vaasa). Amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is fruity, floral and sweet malty in a very nice balance.Flavour is sweet malts, quite floral and mild toffeeish notes as well. Quite bodied though my "short rating". I predict this one to be one to save 5-10 years. Ends rather sweet malty and bodied.

Bottle, 8.5%. Vinous malty aroma. Clear dark golden colour. Small white head. The flavour is nicely caramelly, slightly sweet. Some alcohol, but not boozy at all.

Entered to celebrate my 9000th Rating. Pours ruby amber with a small creamy head and lacings. Fruitcake and caramel at first. Some port and a fine level of vinousness (already). A bit of vanilla and caramel with a fine fresh hop bitterness in the end. Very nice, though very young. Better than previous years. No question.

Bittle from Waitrose. Not had the last two vintages for some reason. Will get them at the Bottle Shop i guess. This is nit the best. Lits of fruit on aroma not much hop. Fruit is good but rest of beer dies. Also the carbonation and mouthfeel is not as good as previous. Good fruit on finish. Fruit salad almost tropical fruits. Not the best vintage and not sure how it will age either. Fruity and lacking something ineffable
