COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottled, Released August 2012.

The 2012 Vintage Ale, our 16th, is brewed with three of this yearís finest hop varieties including, Goldings, award winning Sovereign and Target hops. These combined with our unique yeast and organic barley grown by Sir James Fuller on the Neston Park Estate result in a wonderful limited edition brew that has a luxurious flavour.

Individually packed and numbered, this bottle is one of only one hundred and twenty five thousand produced

Although we are obliged to state a best before date of 2015, like a fine wine or whisky, this mellow golden ale will improve with age for many more years

Being bottle conditioned, the beer will form a natural sediment, so pour carefully, sit back, and enjoy this, the very finest of Fullerís ales.

500ml bottle at home, from the breweryís online shop. Pours clear pale copper, nice tight white head. Aromas of marmalade, fruit cake, uncooked fruit-cake mix in fact. Light spice and raisin. Taste has warming alcohol, spice, sweet dark sugar, and a cleansing finish. Glad Iíve got (I think) one more of these to age, as I think the raisin notes will come to the fore, and be great in a few years time. Lovely stuff.

Bottle no 82042. Pours slightly hazy amber with small very light tan head. The head disappears immediately. Aroma is intense dried fruits, sweetness, hints of alcohol, caramel. Taste: fruits, sweetness, dark plum bitterness, caramel, noticeable alcohol but not overwhelming. Lingering bitter finish leaves nice alcohol warmth in the mouth. Overall: nice fruity and bitter

Very nice indeed! I wasnít sure what to expect, but this beats any expectations I could have had. Basically imagine an awesome english ale, like, lets say, a supercharged London pride. However the "one of only one hundred and twenty five thousand produced", yes, 125,000! is quite comical, hardly limited.

Pours a reddish brown color with a large foamy canvas colored head. Notes of butterscotch, dark fruit, licorice, earth, and fruitcake. Feels over carbonated.

Rich amber with no head. Sweet aroma with caramel and pear drops. Feels creamy and sweet at first with fruit cake notes before a smooth bitter finish and nice warming alcohol. Really good.

Bottle courtesy of Lynn and Barry, they probably wonít ever read this but thanks anyway! I had this on Tuesday 12th November 2013 Pours orange gold, bit like Irn Bru, clear with a steady gentle carbonation. Soft in the mouth, warming in the mouth. I get lots of sweet marmalade but with a good bitterness that seems to expand. Bittersweet this really appears to have softened over the last year, I actually also had this in cask format at The Shoulder of Mutton a couple of times it was nice but this is one of those rare occasions where it is better in the bottle, probably because it has lost some of the harsh rough alcohol from ageing. Tasty beer though still not up there with the best Vintages, I think it is a little too sickly sweet, if it could lose a little more sweetness and add a little more citrussy complexity it would be heading there. Clear brown. Tan head. Port, caramel, raisins, overripe fruit. Lot better and tastier than the 2011 version!

On bottle from Vinmonopolet Vika ( a while ago). Golden color, good foam. Malty aromas, dried fruits: good aroma intensity. Medium body & complexity. Some sweetness, but well balanced . Very enjoyable
