COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottled, Released August 2012.

The 2012 Vintage Ale, our 16th, is brewed with three of this yearís finest hop varieties including, Goldings, award winning Sovereign and Target hops. These combined with our unique yeast and organic barley grown by Sir James Fuller on the Neston Park Estate result in a wonderful limited edition brew that has a luxurious flavour.

Individually packed and numbered, this bottle is one of only one hundred and twenty five thousand produced

Although we are obliged to state a best before date of 2015, like a fine wine or whisky, this mellow golden ale will improve with age for many more years

Being bottle conditioned, the beer will form a natural sediment, so pour carefully, sit back, and enjoy this, the very finest of Fullerís ales.

From a 50 cl bottle shared at home. Pours a clear amber with a thick off white head. Not much aroma. Flavors are moderately sweet caramel and honey. Very smooth mouthfeel and finish., Nicely done,

Bottle gift from the Scotsman. Now this is a good beer from Fullers. Nice copper pour with reddish hue. Good medium body with nice notes of caramel malt, bread and raisin.

Bottle # 119579 and served in a Fullers nonic pint glass: Plae amber with a smooth frothy head but minimal lace. The aroma and taste are a bit young and missing that richness character found often with many of the FVA. In fact the malt character of this is quite disappointing... where is the Optic, Maris Otter or even Golden Promise? Whatever organic malt this is, it is not up to FVA standards IMO. The Sovereign hops piney notes also seem out of place. Too bad the outstanding 2012 EKG crop got wasted here. Add the the mouth feel is thinner than often found in the FVA series and you have an utterly disappointing brew. I do not think age will help this in the least bit.

Gorgeous amber colored beer with a thick off-white head that lasts. Nose of sweet malt and sour yeast with hints of toasted bread. Taste is both sweet and sour at the same time, making for a deliciously balanced brew. Then, hints of vanilla and white chocolate come through, ending with slightly bitter nuts. Absolutely delicious. The only thing you wonít like about this beer is that your glass will be empty way too quickly.

50cl. Bottle no. 40751. Pours goldenkopper orange with dusty white head. Aroma cherry, ripe dark fruits, toffee, caramel, sweet, malt. Taste caramel soft sweet, toffee, small little bitter finish. Mouthfeel oily almost siruplike, dome carbo. Amazing beer, soft in the mouth, great complex taste and aroma.

3/4 inch thick head of medium sized and slightly fizzy bubbles. Light malts and cereal grains in the aroma with some oasty notes and a bit of floral hops. Nothing really jumps out at you in the aroma. Color is a medium orange. Soft bready malts in the flavor with some more floral hop bitterness and light caramel malts. Light alcohol presence. A bit flat on the palate though. Finishes sticky malts. An ok vintage. here are better.

Bottle. Pours a somewhat cloudy amber color with a medium white head. A nice smooth nose of part and caramel, yeasty. The flavor is similar with woody and yeasty port, some robust sweet malts, very flavorful. Good. Solid definitive brew.

Pours a manuhka honey, burn orange colour with a short lived thin white head. The aroma is sweet, malty, toffee/biscuity, with an underlying floral hop note. The flavour reflects this note for note. Ends on a slightly sweet astingent note. Very enjoyable.
