COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottled, Released August 2012.

The 2012 Vintage Ale, our 16th, is brewed with three of this yearís finest hop varieties including, Goldings, award winning Sovereign and Target hops. These combined with our unique yeast and organic barley grown by Sir James Fuller on the Neston Park Estate result in a wonderful limited edition brew that has a luxurious flavour.

Individually packed and numbered, this bottle is one of only one hundred and twenty five thousand produced

Although we are obliged to state a best before date of 2015, like a fine wine or whisky, this mellow golden ale will improve with age for many more years

Being bottle conditioned, the beer will form a natural sediment, so pour carefully, sit back, and enjoy this, the very finest of Fullerís ales.

Bottle number 127978. Pours a hazy caramel color. Thick almond colored head. Aroma of caramel, roasted malts, and dark fruits. Burnt sugars, caramel, and dark fruits hit the palate. Very sweet yet still balanced with a light bitter backbone. Very enjoyable.

I think Tommy sent this to me in 2012. Clear amber beer, with a fruity and yeasty aroma. Caramel and a very light coffee flavour, vanilla marshmallow, really nice

(bottle, #37921) Almost cloudy, orange-amber colour with a beige and short foamy head. Yeasty, mildly caramelly malty aroma with present fruity notes of apricots, raisins and traces of honey. Quite sweet flavour, medium to full bodied with a calm carbonation. Slightly sugary cara-malty taste with fruity notes and a mildly woody and spicy hoppy background; sweet and restrained bitter finish with a tinge of woody hops and a muted alcoholic strength. 30.XII.14

No. 105441, poured into snifter. Pours a severely hazy orange into brown color with a good white head. Aroma is pungent, smell it before even putting my nose to the glass. Notes of malt, caramel, some basement funk without cheese, almost honeyed carrots, weak licorice. Taste is extremely smooth, has huge malt, caramel, and balancing hops that arenít bitter but still present. After a few sips this mellows into a fruity malt note that is very pleasant, probably the best fruit flavor in a ale this style Iíve ever had. Got this out of a four pack that had 2009, 2011, 2012, 2013 in it, this is the best of the oldest three, canít wait to try the last one tomorrow night.

Bottle from Sainsburyís Team Valley, Gateshead. 2012: Drank 2015-02-20, Aged for approx. 3 years; Dark amber coloured with a sweet and slightly tart red fruity flavour, almond and vanilla followed by burnt currants on the finish. Nice!

tasted feb. 2015 , bottle no 32560 from superbrugsen enghavevej, 69dkk. cloudy orange, smooth but slightly bubbly orange head. Aroma is sort of like old ale, with notes of wood, wood tartness, malts and some finer notes of flowery hops below that. Flavor is like the finest uk barley wine you can get your hands at. malty and slightly sugary, also slightly fruity, but it keeps staying in great balance, faint herbal bitterness from the hops. Pretty well rounded and balanced english style barley wine is what i would call it, but strong english ale is also okay as categorization.

Hazy amber beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and with a light crispness. Nice malts, creamy with mild caramel. Trace of toffee. Mellow spice. Nice dried fruits with a little orange. Finishes smooth with a little more spice. Comes together well, nice balance of flavours. One of the better recent Fullers Vintages.

Christian (11421) - Odense, DENMARK - JAN 3, 2015
Hazy orange-amber with a small off-white head. The aroma is fruity and malty, with citrus, plum, pear and marmalade, with lighter notes of biscuit and bread crust, and light notes of grass, pine and earth in the background. The flavour is sweet malty, with plenty of fruity character, and a pretty firm hoppy, bitter finish. The marmalade and earthy notes really play a role here, with toffee and biscuit notes showing up well into the aftertaste. As usual, Fullers vintage doesnít blow you away on sight, but there are plenty of nuances to explore.

Bottle(#37921): Deep golden, hazy, stable off-white head with a little lace; sweetish raisiny and woody nose, some sugary notes included; moderate to solid sweet flavour, barely full bodied; lingering fruity-vinous finish with a small amount of warming alcohol. Good, but not the best VintageÖ
