The 2013 Fuller’s Vintage has been brewed using the winter barley variety ‘Pearl’. The malt, combined with the award-winning Admiral and Sovereign hops, gives the 2013 Vintage a deep rich stone fruit palate, overlaid with cinnamon, pineapple and marmalade notes.

Nothing to shout about on this mediocre vintage ale. Very bland and i felt really short changed for the cost. There are far better Vintage Ales in the market, you just have to source them as this is not worthy.

Bottled, with Oliva Robusto, dense orange ruby color with egg cream foam, caramel toffee nose with great flavor of oxidized nickel, plum, caramel, maple syrupy, one of the best in the series fresh

Appearance: Clear copper with finger thick ivory head. Aroma: Golden syrup, treacle note, raisin, fruity. Taste: Low sourness, low/medium bitterness and sweetness. Palate; Smooth thick texture, thick body, average carbonation, fairly abrupt bitter sweet, dried fruit, golden syrup note. Comments: Good and slight lace. A bit too young to drink. I think a bit more time was needed for the flavours to start to properly develop. Bottle number 087196.

Bottle @ Devil bar, Bled, Slovenia. Pours dark, unclear amber with a small white head. Aroma is hoppy, sweet caramel malt. Taste has huge malt profile with lots of caramel, fudge, licorice, sweet, toasted. Not much alcohol presence, and a great balance.

Clearish brilliant dark copper with a wee white cap. Lovely nose of honey and toasted biscuit, with some lavendar and toast. Strong flavor featuring earthy toasted biscuits and honey and lavender and a certain boozy warmth, with some light sugar cane and light oak tones. Very full and nice and sweet and calming. A fireplace sipper without the giant strength.

500 ml bottle at home. Pours clear dark orange with a faint head. Subtle pine hoppy aroma, malt caramel, slight bitter body compared to the faint sweetness, little smoke. Grapefruit aroma, little tart peach. Pfff, doesn’t live up to the hype.
