Pours out of the bottle in a deep amber-ruby colour with steady, lasting head and smooth body. Wonderful aroma of hops and caramel-nuts. Taste of ripe yet smooth hops, light malt, gentle flowers, straw, nuts, torf and mild fruits such as apples. Sweet-torfish finish. A really nice beer.

500ml bottle from LCBO. Nice vibrant and clear copper with a slight beige head. Slightly roasted malts, fruity but muted, bit of toffee, moderate hops but very little bitterness. Moderate body and mild carbonation, hops mute the sweetness a bit on the palate but this is still fairly sweet, not much booze, very easy to drink and enjoyable.

Bottle 110949.<\i>Dark orange color with a medium head. Strong biscuity grain aroma with a fair floral hop hit. Lots of grain flavor. Light fruit and yeast. Moderately bitter. Some honey. Full body.

One bottle in the cellar, which will hopefully survive until my son’s 21st birthday in 2034.

pours unclear medium dark golden orange with a nice off-white head, some retention and lacing. spicy lightly toasted malts, caramel and barley sugar, some toffee, nice fruity notes - berries, citrus, oranges, marmelade-ish, booze - brandy quality, grassy coniferous - hint of pine, floral, bit of earthy notes. moderate carbonation, light to medium body - very oily, thick, moderate sweetness, bold but smooth grassy-spicy-peppery finish. nice and complex but nothing spectacular either.

UPDATED: MAY 15, 2014 Deep gold with a slight white head and little carbonation. This was tried alongside the 2007 and 2008 versions and came out on top. A touch of caramel, some pleasant fresh hops and a moderately bitter finish. Avoided the heavy, yeasty barley sugar notes of the other two. Enjoyable.

Bottle @ Vinens Verden, Odense. Pours ruby amber with a small creamy head. Fresh hops, biscuit, toffee, caramel. A bit vinous and quite complex. Tasty and well composed. Much better than last year.

Klar djup orange med ett orange skum. Doft: Honung, frukt godis, päron cider, yellow label te, alkohol. Smak: Malt, päron, humle, trä, alkohol, tysk honungs likör, lite pigelin. Tror den blir kanon om den bara blir lite sötare med tiden.

Bottle No. 105177. From The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours dark copper with a foamy yellow/beige head. Aromas of malt, darkish fruit and leather. Med + body. Flavor is roasty malt, a little brown sugar, something suggesting dates, notes of peppery spice. Very smooth. Brown sugar tries to come out, but there’s something hoppy that makes it less than sweet. Certainly not dry, but nicely hopped. Very, very good drink.

500ml bottle. Pours a gorgeous mahogany redish brown with a big, frothy beige head. Lovely spicy, golding aroma, with solid caramel, cereal malts. The mouthfeel is thick and luscious, the alcohol is present, but not over bearing, just a tad warming and spicy. The finish is grassy with mote subtle spicing from the hops. One of the best fresh fullers vintage ales ive had.
