Poured a hazy, deep apricot amber with a thin offwhite head. Citrus and caramel notes. Lively carbonation. Sweet up front. Moderately bitter finish. The alcohol is evident, but not over powering. Nice.

Aroma is sweet and heavy with fruits and caramel. Also toffee candy. Flavour has toffee, dried fruits, caramel and mild fruity hops. Finishes with biscuits and menthol. Also flavour is sweet and heavy. More like American Strong Ale by aroma and flavour.

FROTHINGSLOSH (6737) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 16, 2016
Sampled from a 16 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy medium brown color with a large creamy-soapy orange-tan head that left decent lacing. The aroma was sweet caramel, toffee, black cherry, raisin and fig. The flavor was strong raisin, plum and molasses followed by toffee, a hint of banana and some brandy. Long finish. Medium body. Nice.

UPDATED: AUG 18, 2016 Bottle 500ml (2013) - cellared for 3 years. Served at cellar temperature. Pours a bright copper. Head is off white, averaged sized and is mostly lasting. Aroma is rich and complex, with notes of brandy, quince paste, spiced fruit loaf, glazed orange slices, aniseed balls (red), burnt toffee, toasted malts and chocolate (light). Flavour is a light, earthy hop bitterness with toasted malts, brandy soaked fruit cake, caramelized dates, dried oranges, burnt brown sugar, aniseed (light), rum and raisin chocolate (light), a pinch of cinnamon and toasted/earthy wood notes in the finish. Full bodied with light carbonation, an oily texture and a good length, warming finish. Top stuff!

2013 Vintage No. 012859 L: -pours a hazy glowing dark amber with a small to medium, foamy, offwhite head -medium carbonation visible S: -sweet orange, strawberries, rose hip tea, apricots, spicy T: -spicy,caramel,orange,apri grapefruit -medium bitterniss for the style (surprisingly hoppy still after 2.5yrs) -finishes dry F: -low to medium carbonation -light to medium body -slight alcohol noticeable O: The "Imperial Bitter" description fits this nicely. Good overall, but considering the hefty price tag, i was a bit disappointed. I would take any of Fuller’s regulars (London Pride,1845,ESB etc.) over this.

Stone cellared in box aged at 15-17C. Pours a deep clear amber/red with a sudsy off white bubbly head retaining lots of lacing. Immediate nose of alcohol, raisins, caramel, soured ripe fruit, and yeasty brown bread. Sweet, and hoppy. It will all calm down as usual over the next few years. This is a particularly good batch as is, but I’d still give it 3 more years to really start to shine. Brown butter, mineral notes. Traces of iodine, molasses. Cakey. Finish is herbal and clean. This is very good.

Opened the bottle on June 25th 2016, it pours out a little murky with a soft quickly fading head with microscopic carbonation bubbles. Brownish orange ruddy colour like pumpkin pie filling, it’s unfiltered. You can smell the yeast aromas coupled with heavy notes of brown liquor and wood barrel slightly acerbic. Some stone fruit aroma like peaches balanced with spices cinnimon nutmeg influence the fragrance. Smooth and sweet at first with malt flavours coming up front. The taste has legs it lingers on your tongue and leaves you with a warming feel. After three years of cellar aging this beer it has become mellow and easy to drink, excellent for sipping.
