Bottle at the United pub in Istanbul. Appearance is a little ordinary but fresh citrus aroma promises a good ale. Sweet notes of rose syrup but the keyword for this beer is wonderful "bitterness". A long bitter finish, a real wild river! Cool...

McTapps (4564) - Ruhrcity, North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - AUG 3, 2014
Bottle from Asda in Eastbourne. Pours out in a clear golden-amber colour with low head and medium body, Wonderful aroma of fresh hops, vanilla and spruce. Taste of bitter hops, flowers, herbs, mild spices, citrus, thyme and roses. Bitter and thin finish. Not a bad one, but not their best either.

Got that one from ASDA in Eastbourne and shared it with McTapps. Really classic hoppy nose with some grass and a few spices. Soem bread, definitely hay and an earthy background.Like that sharp and crispy bitter ending with that bit of grass, too.

500 ml bottle Clear straw golden color. White head that falls to a collar. Nose is citrus, bread, husk, and slightly dusty. A bit old and faded. Taste is metallic citrus. Some bread as well. Very dusty. Light bodied and some prickly carbonation. Old and very faded. Kind of a bummer.

Kauge (341) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - JUL 18, 2014
50 cl bottle from Nűmme Comarket in Tallinn (Ä 3,21), July 2014. Pours a pale yellowish gold with a white frothy head that retains well. Nose is floral, lemon zest and grapefruit, sweet fruitiness and caramel. Bees would love it. Gets maltier as it warms, eventually lacking the freshness. Taste more bitter with citrusy aspects most notable, far from the sweetness detected in aroma. A bit of hay and malts too; more when warm. Light body, medium carbonation, long lingering bitter (grapefruit seed) finish, palate a bit watery. Overall a decent, but rather forgettable brew. Buy this when you need a quick thirst quencher and a 0,33 bottle is not enough. Drink it cool. Oh, and speaking of cool - itís something the label lacks. Come to think of it. Not only the label.
