4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottled, 0.50l. Clear deep golden color with small frothy white head and average sparkling appearance. Aroma of citrus, tropical fruits and resin hops. Taste starts moderate sweet malty, supported by fresh herbal note, while finished with harsh long lasting spicy bitterness. Full body, thick texture and average carbonation in palate. I donít care if itís too one dimensional, but I really like this beer. Double hops make triple pleasure...

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle, from Tesco, Scunthorpe. Gold, thin shortlived white head ang moderate condition. Pleasingly hoppy resin nose with a hint of citrus and a slightly sweet herbal honey note that also has a peppery spiciness. In the mouth a dry bitterness dominates, masking the promise held in the nose with only a token sweetness struggling through. The finish is again quite dry and bitter with a slight herbal note lingering through.

Nose is toasted malts, light tropical notes, peach, mandarin, hoppy backnotes.

Medium bodied, carbonation, light bitterness in the finish.
Decent enough drop, no top of class effort but hops evident and a sessionable drop.

2.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
500ml dark glass bottle from Asda. Pale gold appearance - very clear. Malt is clean, dry, biscuit, neutral. Carbonated enough to give some life and burps. This beer is about the hop flavourings. The hops are assertive but not aggressive. However, itís too much for my taste. This is carbonated hop juice. I remember the Eighties as a dire time for music as the fad was for synth pop, which is not my style. Now the beer fad is for hop juice, which is also not my style. But tastes change, and at some point this interest in intense hops will go away.... I canít wait for that day!

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
500ml Bottle. It pours a golden body with a thick white head that slowly disperces to a little lacing, Its aroma is quite impressive - grapefruit and biscuit malts are the predominant notes but theres grass and other citrus fruits too. Its taste is of malts, biscuit at first which passes to a mild lemon and grapefruit with a slightly dry bitter finish. A very decent session beer this. I will be having this again.
