Bottled, 0.50l. Clear deep golden color with small frothy white head and average sparkling appearance. Aroma of citrus, tropical fruits and resin hops. Taste starts moderate sweet malty, supported by fresh herbal note, while finished with harsh long lasting spicy bitterness. Full body, thick texture and average carbonation in palate. I donít care if itís too one dimensional, but I really like this beer. Double hops make triple pleasure...

Clear light golden with small white head. Strong lychee aroma, very fruity with some graininess and notes of honey. Sweet honey flavor, some fruitiness (lychee, citrus), light sourness and notes of honey. Light carbonation, medium-bodied. Quite balanced and drinkable. Very good.

Real ale. Mild aroma has citrus, bit tropical fruits. Malt stays under this. Bit cloudy honey to copper, nice dense head is one finger and long and good lacing. Bitter slightly and fruity sweet, soft round fullerís body, soft carbonation, creamy soft very good palate, nice soft finish, nuts. Looks good, smells nice, is velvety soft and full and leaves me wanting for more while still satisfied.

Bottle 0,50L. Clear, dark golden colour with small, frothy, white head. Aroma is frothy and fruity - lemon, orange, also some herbs and grass. Taste starts and finishes medium bitter with caramel, biscuits and grass. Medium body, soft carbonation, dry texture. Very, very tasty beer, one of my Fullerís favorites. So good and only 4,5% ABV...

Golden colour with a nice white head. The nose is fresh hoppy with lots of pine. Smooth fresh beginning. Lots of floral hops on a great mild Ale-body. Lots of floralness, fresh and fruity, the hips are in the foreground. Nice Ale-bitter aftertaste with lots of piney-grassy hops. Great!

500ml Bottle. It pours a golden body with a thick white head that slowly disperces to a little lacing, Its aroma is quite impressive - grapefruit and biscuit malts are the predominant notes but theres grass and other citrus fruits too. Its taste is of malts, biscuit at first which passes to a mild lemon and grapefruit with a slightly dry bitter finish. A very decent session beer this. I will be having this again.

Maker: Fuller, Smith & Turner PLC (Fullers), Chiswick, London *** Beer: Wild River (bottled, 500ml) *** Style: American Pale Ale *** ALC.VOL.: 4.5% *** "Wild River is a double-hopped pale ale, inspired by some of the finest craft brewers from the USA, bursting with citrus hop flavours. Brewed to 4.5% ABV, the beer uses some of the best known hop varieties from the West Coast of the US ó Liberty, Willamette, Cascade and Chinook." [brewery notes] *** Colour: Bright golden orange; big, creamy off-white head. *** Nose: Strong floral notes, lemon-grass, yeast. *** Texture: Medium body, not watery. Medium carbonation. *** Taste: Floral and bitter hoppy notes dominate the start, with a whiff of citrus above. Surprisingly strong malt base. More bitterness and malt towards the middle, with some resinous and herbal elements. Finish still explicitly bitter, with succeeding floral notes. Afteraste citrusy, malty and bitter. Long-lasting. *** Impressions: Maltier than most US-made APAs, this is another winner from the folks in Chiswick: More depth than many APAs/IPAs, appealingly bitter and hoppy, with the citrus fruit mostly relegated to the background. Recommended!
