COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A collaboration between Fullsteam and Chef Ashley Christensen, brewed specifically for her newest venture, Beasley’s Chicken + Honey (Raleigh, N.C.). Brewed with tellicherry black pepper, North Carolina honey, and North Carolina oats, Beasley’s White is the restaurant’s house beer, designed to pair with the restaurant’s signature honey-drizzled fried chicken. If you happen to find yourself fresh out of honey fried chicken, you’re not out of cluck...this unfiltered ale is delicious on its own.

On tap at the brewery. Pours hazy bright golden with a funky looking head--clumps a little bit. Nose is honey and pepper and earth. Taste adds lots of black pepper in a pleasant way. Dry finish. Big improvement on the R & D batch, I think. I’d drink more of this, for sure.

Great beer. The pepper in this ale is savory and comes through without much heat, which complements the lemongrass and citrusy taste really well.

Pours cloudy straw yellow with one finger of white head. Bread dough and yeast in the nose with some spice and citrus. Round/smooth flavor. Fairly clean with a peppery quality. Some soft yeasty notes. Light medium body and peppery finish.

On tap at Fullsteam, Durham. Faintly cloudy deep golden pour, medium carbonation. Aroma was fairly pleasant, somewhat sharp from the yeast and pepper barely detectable. Body is lightly prickly but mostly just smooth and at times full. Flavors were moderately standard wit but there was enough going on from the additions to make this one moderately more interesting than the norm, especially in the peppery finish.

TURDFERGUSON (3580) - Carrboro, North Carolina, USA - APR 27, 2012
Tap at the brewery. SUPER cloudy yeast bomb yellow. Nose is corainder, black peppercorn, orange peel, honey. Flavor is quite peppery, some honey cereal malts, light citrus sweetness. Good, but the peppercorn is a bit overpowering.
