Ginger in a beer is apparently a new thing - I saw a few over the weekend, so Im making this blanket statement based on a pretty small sample size. but anyway, ginger seems to blend in with other pale ale flavors and aromas instead of stand out. I think it lends a certain clean texture, but that my just be me...

Can. Pours clear golden, thin white lacing. Aroma of ginger dominates. Medium sweet taste. Medium light body, light carbonation, medium bitter finish that comes with the ginger spice. Overall this is good, but after one Im gingered-out.

12 oz. can from TURDFERGUSON- thanks, TURDFERGUSON! Not to be mixed up with other TURDFERGUSON users from this and other beer sites. Sam is the only TURDFERGUSON I know. Anyway, this one pours a clear gold with a finger of white head that leaves some lace in the glass and settles unevenly. Big ginger aroma. There really isnt much else. Some pale malts, maybe some grass and straw. The flavor is basically the same, but has more bitterness. Light-bodied, with medium carbonation and a dry, spicy - well, just gingery - mouthfeel. Hope you like ginger. If not, stay away. Good thing I like it.

2/2/14. Draft at Fullsteam. Pours golden and very clear. Light head and lacing. Nice ginger nose. Clean crisp pale with a hint of ginger and hops on the finish. Tasted an earlier version. Very glad they dialed back the ginger. Nice round ginger taste and nose without being overpowering. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Great ginger aroma and flavor. Has a clean, sweet finish. Not even a huge fan of ginger but this is delicious.

Light orange pour with medium head. Aroma of ginger, malts and sweet breads. Flavor is of more bread with hint of ginger in the finish. Decently refreshing beer and better than expected.

On draft at the brewery, this one pours a bright, golden yellow color, and a generous pour leaves only a little space for a minimal ring of head. The aroma is faint but clean, with a pale, grassy hop character and only a little bit of the ginger wafting through. The flavor is likewise restrained, with some woodsy, peppery hops dominating the sweet malts without being overly assertive. The ginger again only accents these flavors, compounding with the peppery hop character to give a bit of extra spice. The beer has a nice, light carbonation and is a bit dry in the finish. Overall, this beer is pleasant and drinkable, and although I can appreciate the restraint in the use of ginger to keep the beer from becoming a spicy novelty, the restrained use also keeps it a bit mundane.
