12 ounce can - $2.00 at Tasty Beverage Company in Asheville, North Carolina. Appearance: Pours out a sunny-looking golden body, nearly clear with an inch of white foam. Looks good. Smell: Floral, citrus fruit hoppiness shines softly, an ample fragrance of the added ginger and a thin sweet-scented malt accent. Taste: A lightly crackery pale maltiness given a slight cereal sweetness. Floral, citrusy hops infused with the essence of ginger. Not an overabundance of ginger, no, just a nice little taste and restrained spiciness. Medium-light degree of bitterness. Drying and crisp going into the finish with a final hint of cereal laden maltiness and gentle ginger. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium-plus carbonation. Overall: Zippy, indeed!

Can @ Days Inn Charleston. Clear golden pour with white foam. Some ginger and caramel malts. A lot of bread, some toast, grass, and a touch of herbal hops. Kind of bitter tasting, though there is some sweet vanilla, biscuit, and candied ginger. Kind of bland, surprisingly. It isn’t really that great.

Very hazy golden coloured body with an orange colour and a large soapy white head, about five centimetres tall. Aroma of ginger, alcohol, light malt, sugar, caramel and way more full ginger. Medium-bodied; Strong ginger flavour with some light malt and a touch of malt and sugar, but after that - fairly mild. Aftertaste shows a good sweetness and a lot of ginger spice - that’s about it, but not in a bad way. Overall, a good beer for the summer months and to show a lot of flavour related to spice and sugar. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from The Charleston Beer Exchange in Charelston, South Carolina on 20-April-2015 for US$2,16 sampled at home in Washington on 05-November-2015.

Can thanks to Craig. Appearance - golden with an oily texture and a fluffy head. Nose - ginger primarily. light pale malt. Taste - ginger biscuits with a green stalky note in the back. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy yet crunchy texture and a dry biscuity finish. Overall - this is good for a beer that is very much dominated by ginger, which I generally don’t think is a good idea.

12 oz. can, consumed on 10-25-15. Lightly hazy pale bronze. Small to moderate amount of off-white to cream-colored head. Juicy aroma features scents of apricot, peach, and yellow apple. I get a touch of ginger tanginess upon multiple sniffs, but I don’t think I would have identified it as ginger if not for the deScription. Dry, spicy taste. The ginger adds a zesty spiciness to the pale ale dryness, producing a significantly drier effect than surely would have been the case in the absence of the ginger. Lemon and orange peel flavors. Sharp juiciness: Both lemon juice and peach juice. Dry finish and aftertaste matches the primary flavor. Light to medium body. Frothy in the palate. Lively enough, but the lightness and frothiness makes the palate feel insubstantial. Interesting and memorable beer. It “suffers” from a mediocre appearance and palate. I’m glad I tried it, but it’s more intriguing than it is good, although it’s certainly not bad.

12oz can pours a murky orange with some frothy, white head. Nose is interesting, plenty of ginger, a real grainy note - like a buckwheat tea, some grass, some citrus pith. Flavor is harsh, dried citrus rind, heavily tannic with tea, ginger, a little faux lemon, some grass. Opened up and got a little less harsh.
