3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
I’m very surprised and impressed that we got this one before North Carolina. Draft at ChurchKey. Clear golden color, bright white head. Aroma of subtle mixed spices. The ginger really comes through in the taste, but it’s not overwhelming. Very drinkable.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20
Can poured a hazy gold with a small lasting white head. Aromas of ginger, bread and light citrus. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of bread, ginger and light earthiness with a crisp dry lingering ginger finish.

Brewvival Trip Beer 78. Cask at Brewvival. Pours a hazy orange color with a thin frothy head. Decent head retention. Big fresh ginger aroma with some other herbal notes and pale malts. The taste is ginger, caramel, toasted malts. Much like ginger snaps. Medium bodied.

12 oz. can from TURDFERGUSON- thanks, TURDFERGUSON! Not to be mixed up with other TURDFERGUSON users from this and other beer sites. Sam is the only TURDFERGUSON I know. Anyway, this one pours a clear gold with a finger of white head that leaves some lace in the glass and settles unevenly. Big ginger aroma. There really isn’t much else. Some pale malts, maybe some grass and straw. The flavor is basically the same, but has more bitterness. Light-bodied, with medium carbonation and a dry, spicy - well, just gingery - mouthfeel. Hope you like ginger. If not, stay away. Good thing I like it.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Ginger in a beer is apparently a new thing - I saw a few over the weekend, so I’m making this blanket statement based on a pretty small sample size. but anyway, ginger seems to blend in with other pale ale flavors and aromas instead of stand out. I think it lends a certain clean texture, but that my just be me...

2.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
This draft brew from the brewery poured a head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were quickly diminishing and left behind a softly carbonated transparent yellow colored body and a fair lacing. The mild aroma was medicinal and ginger. The crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of mild citrus mild hops and ginger. A decent one that I would consider buying again.
