Great ginger aroma and flavor. Has a clean, sweet finish. Not even a huge fan of ginger but this is delicious.

You have to like ginger and if you do, then this will be an excellent beer for you! Could see it going well with sushi....and it is a great beer for cans!

Ginger in a beer is apparently a new thing - I saw a few over the weekend, so I’m making this blanket statement based on a pretty small sample size. but anyway, ginger seems to blend in with other pale ale flavors and aromas instead of stand out. I think it lends a certain clean texture, but that my just be me...

I’m very surprised and impressed that we got this one before North Carolina. Draft at ChurchKey. Clear golden color, bright white head. Aroma of subtle mixed spices. The ginger really comes through in the taste, but it’s not overwhelming. Very drinkable.

Brewvival Trip Beer 78. Cask at Brewvival. Pours a hazy orange color with a thin frothy head. Decent head retention. Big fresh ginger aroma with some other herbal notes and pale malts. The taste is ginger, caramel, toasted malts. Much like ginger snaps. Medium bodied.

Soft straw gold pour with two fingers of white head. Soft ginger in the nose with an earthy/musty and bready malt profile. Lightly spicy in the flavor with some muted ginger notes. Herbal on the finish with a full and coating mouthfeel .

On draft at the brewery, this one pours a bright, golden yellow color, and a generous pour leaves only a little space for a minimal ring of head. The aroma is faint but clean, with a pale, grassy hop character and only a little bit of the ginger wafting through. The flavor is likewise restrained, with some woodsy, peppery hops dominating the sweet malts without being overly assertive. The ginger again only accents these flavors, compounding with the peppery hop character to give a bit of extra spice. The beer has a nice, light carbonation and is a bit dry in the finish. Overall, this beer is pleasant and drinkable, and although I can appreciate the restraint in the use of ginger to keep the beer from becoming a spicy novelty, the restrained use also keeps it a bit mundane.
