I generally can’t really get down with beers featuring ginger, but I was pleased at how relatively subtle it was. Some earthy notes and some pepper, well balanced hop and malt action. Grass. Pours light clear orange. Fine, but nothing special.

Serving: 12 oz. can. Pretty solid gold pour. Light ginger in the nose. The flavor has a little pale malt sweetness, a slight bitterness, and restrained use of the ginger. Light, crisp, and refreshing. Pretty enjoyable.

On tap at the Cork & Tap (SC). Clear amber with a good, durable head that leaves spotty lacing. Feel: Medium-light body with near medium carbonation; seems too thin. Aroma: ginger over baked bread with a faint hint of hops. Flavor: ginger, which seems overdone at first but becomes more acceptable; it dominates but does not over-power the malt base. O: a nice, moderately strong, ginger beer.

12 ounce can thanks Busick. Copper pour with a big white head. Taste of sweet fruit and bitter ginger. Nice

You have to like ginger and if you do, then this will be an excellent beer for you! Could see it going well with sushi....and it is a great beer for cans!

Enjoyable ginger heavy pale. Fairly sweet aroma with plenty of ginger. Taste pretty much followed with some slight bitterness. Easy drinker.

Interesting ginger beer, hazy pour, smell of ginger, taste of ginger, sweet aroma and sweet finish.

Can from CBX. Pour a hazy carrot orange with a small bubbly white head that fades into a ring. Aroma of grated ginger, crystal malts and faint piney hoppiness. Smooth body backs up a springy ginger flavor with sweet underlying caramel malts with notes of toast. Refreshing, easy drinking, definitely for ginger lovers.

Four cans from Bruisin’. Pours light amber with a frothy white head. This is a great concept which was executed not to my specific taste. The aroma is a little muted and the ginger brings candied ginger to mind more than fresh, zesty real ginger. Lots of bread and earth in the flavor. The ginger comes across like old ginger candies that have been sitting in the Halloween basket a little too long. Drinkable, doesn’t present the "freshness" I love from pale ales.

Can brought down by the in-laws. You do love me. Big ginger flavors and aromas. Dominant but good. Great seasonal spring beer. Fruity ginger finish. Only knock is that it is a little one dimensional but that dimension is pretty entertaining.

Ginger in a beer is apparently a new thing - I saw a few over the weekend, so I’m making this blanket statement based on a pretty small sample size. but anyway, ginger seems to blend in with other pale ale flavors and aromas instead of stand out. I think it lends a certain clean texture, but that my just be me...
