Great idea. Aroma was of startch and sugar. Pour was a dark amber with a froathy off white head. Taste was of a sweet stout with a little bit of chewyness in the finish.

Growler. Pours a clear amber color with a small white head. Nose is actually a little sweet, yet still light. Taste is much the same with light easy feel. Not bad, but not great.

This draft brew from the brewery poured a head of foamy fine to large sized white colored bubbles that were mostly diminishing and left behind a softly carbonated transparent yellow orange colored body and a fair lacing. The aroma was musty and malt hop. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The good flavor contained notes of mild citrus sweet mild spice and hops. An OK brew just nothing special.

On tap at the brewery. Amber coloring with an off-white head. Tastes like a standard lager at first, but the finish is where the payoff is - definite notes of sweet potato, especially as the beer warms up a little bit. I "yam" always excited about drinking a Carver.

Tap at Fullsteam. Clear light orange. Medium white foam. Wispy lace. Nose is super heavy diacetyl. Taste is heavy diacetyl, tangy lemon, huge buttered roll. Butter bomb. Almost impossible to accomplish this with a lager style. Premature kegging perhaps. Needs diacetyl rest.

You definitely get the sweet potato but it is still just a lager. Pours a great color and is very drinkable, would be a great gateway into craft beers for those who are just starting out.

64 oz. growler from Weaver Street, Southern Village
Ar: Aroma is straight roasted, caramelized sweet potato. Nice job by Fullsteam to bring that out.
Ap: Pours a clear copper-orange with a frothy manila head. A bit of retention, doesn’t leave much lacing.
T: Moderately sweet, caramel flavor and a mild bitterness on the finish. Not a ton of hop character, but enough on the finish to balance this out.
P: Body is a touch sticky, maybe a bit too thick to drink more than 3-4 of these.
O: Glad I tried this one.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear dark orange with a thin white head. Aroma of sweet bready malt, sweet fruits. Flavor is very sweet and malty. A good lager but just marginal to ok overall.

A golden amber lager with a thin off white head. In aroma, sweet solventy malt with fruity esters. In mouth, a sweet weizen like offering with banana esters, cloves, not bad. On tap at Twin City Brewfest, August 13 2011.

Draft from fullsteam. Good beer. A really clean crisp dry beer. I like the earthiness to it.
