Our current Fearrington beer, Fearrington Winter, is a roasty Coffee Pecan Porter. Pecans add a subtle nuttiness, tempering the bitterness of the cold-pressed Fearrington coffee.

Bottle from Bestway over christmas. Nice combo of flavors and pretty apparent pecan and coffee notes. Was expecting a little more sweetness but it really leans on the nut flavor as opposed to excess sugars or other sweet notes.Nice roasty coffee aroma and a touch of the same in the flavor.

A medium bodied porter dense with coffee flavor and blessed with light creaminess courtesy of the nitro tap at the brewery. Pours opaque black with scads of lacing. Full flavored, but very drinkable. The nuttiness of the pecans only comes across in the finish, as the coffee tames.
